And those aren't jump jets. They're Back to the Future hoverboards. They work kind of like this.
In preparation for the Koshi, I actually threw 6 JJs on the Cute Fox.
They certainly aren't HoverJets in that number. I was surprised. I even threw an ERPPC on for lulzy poptarting, which was as effective as a single PPC can be.
A full 160M horizontal jump, or "50M" according to the mechlab.

I'm struggling to figure out the best loadout for the Koshi. It seems easier to put together a non-ECM based build instead...

Would anyone agree or disagree with this? It seems logical to me at least.

Yeah, it's going to probably setting into the "crappy firestarter" or "crappy Jenner-D" roll. It looks too adorable though, so I feel bad for it. Had to buy it.

My favorite class is mediums (specifically IS) and I don't see much utility in the Clan lights other than ECM (Cute Fox exclusive).

I... actually agree with that statement. I'm generally good in fast strikers and sniper mechs. Not as much experience in Assaults except for Atlai. Heavies aren't that interesting to me, at least IS ones. I have 3 Cataphracts, and dislike the 3D, but like the Ilya and 4X.
I've posted my best matches in this game with the Cute Fox, Shadow Hawk 2H and 2K, and the Boar's Head.

I was thinking 3 ERMLs, 2 SRM2s and either 150 or 250 missiles.
Otherwise, ECM, 1 ERML, and use that ton to upgrade the 2s to 4s, with the same ammo.
ECM, ERLL and ERSL would fit, not sure if that's a good or bad choice. You can jump pretty high with those, to get to nice sniping locations, but it's just so little firepower.

That sounds about right.

I was thinking of Streaks, but at that point, there isn't enough tonnage to field that... possibly?
It is making me wonder about the CSRM2 spread though.

Yeah there's not much you can do with it once it has ECM.
2x CERMLAS or
1x CERMLAS + Some light SRMs/SSRMs or
1x CLPL / CERPPC

is there any other Clan light than the ECM Kitfox? I mean really. ECM Kitfox is only option until Myst Lynx. Then we can see which is better.

The Koshi will go around 15 KMh faster than the Cute Fox, while mounting 8 tons less pod space, 6.5 VS 14.5.
Arctic Cheetah is the one that will make it a choice. Moving 130/142 with 8 ton of pod space, with the same 6 hardwired JJs, but with the option of torso mounted hardpoints, and ECM. It also had hardpoints to boat small weapons.
Same 30 tons as the Cute Fox, noticeably faster, with 6.5 less tons pod space. Koshi isn't looking promising.

my current builds are:
2x MPL 1x ecm, 1x LPL
2x PPC, 1x ecm, 1x ML
2X ML, 1x PPC, 1x ecm, 2x machine guns
I swap the ppcs for large lasers sometimes, but I like the burst damage even if it means it runs hotter

That is the future, we will see how that plays out, right now, there is only the Kitfox with ECM.
