Honestly with it pure stock I was doing pretty good (even the 128 armor), but it required more than the usual light tactics. Bolt from cover to cover while enemies are busy, pelt them in the legs and then when they figure out where you are circle the enemy until he dies.

Rinse, repeat, of course the standard engine helps immensely for this.

Non-stock, however.... lets be honest. I never bothered making it non-stock. But I'd probably try some LRMs and some SRMs in a combination.

2 missle slots are CT, so you can't even try to cram 4srm6 in it. So 4srm4 or 2 and 2. I would kill for a head laser slot. 1md laser would put the oxide up a tier. Just something to aim at the weak spots the srms open up. Also something for annoyance once the srms go dry.

Was a nice light killer when streaks worked. Now it takes 80 streaks to kill a raven.

If the Oxide had JJ, it might be useful. It's a worthless Jenner-D. The Jenner-F will always be better.

I can get 500-600 damage games before running out of ammo usually. It's just held back and needs major buffs.

I've been running 4x SRM 4 Oxides in a pack of 3. Absolutely devstating and with the capability to one shot an assault in the rear... They do great in packs, solo not so much but you will definitely turn the assaults around and make them pay attention to you :) Which is what you want take the DPS off the field, in which this mech excels. I saw the quirks as soon as they were posted... and ooooohhhhhhhhhhh my :D

You can accomplish the same thing with the Jenner-D or F, and without ammo or random SRM misses to worry about. 30 Alpha per Jenner-F, with Range Module 5 at 297m. There is a reason the Jenner-F is up top of the lights.

Im perfectly aware of what the F is capable of. The issue with the F is you run into heat problems. The Oxide can fire forever - also instant damage no burn time needed. Lasers you have a chance to react. SRMS... well the damage is already there before you knew what hit you, its immediate.

I ran mine with 4 x LRM5. Follow the brawlers at 2-300m, when they find a target, continuous fire LRMs to blind and disorient. If you get found, run for the safety of the brawl pit. For a while there it was my deadliest 'mech.

The Oxide is just a poorly designed mech. A PGI fail in every sense of the word.

Yep. If the Opfor knows how to use ECM, you're going to have a bad day.

I'm a solo PUGger so it all depends on how much the match maker likes me.
