Once per day, a player could enter into a game mode called To the Last Man. You would choose which Mech you want, as well as which map. No restrictions on these. No teams. You would be on your own with nothing but opponents. No friends or anyone to ally with. You play until you are destroyed.

so that mode will be called "catch the spider" for the entire opposite team?

Exactly. It is a free for all. You shoot at anybody you see. When you die, someone else drops in to take your place, and so forth. I put a once per day limit to keep the other parts of the game viable, and to make this a challenge to see how good you really are as compared to how good you think you are.

No, a FFA mode shouldn't be limited to once per day. It also shouldn't have anybody "dropping in" when a 'Mech dies.
It should be 24 'Mechs, all out for themselves, with a 15 minute limit. Rewards are based on how long you last in the match. If there is only one left at the end, that player gets the rewards plus a big bonus. If there are multiple left, they get no bonus (just the regular rewards). In other words, it encourages a battle to the last 'Mech.
