Even if the indicated map location has a missing geo component, it can only be 'replaced' or 'returned' in the next patch.
- Apparently no physics happening with any of these items. 'Hover' mode engaged.
- It has to be a single code line broken as that bridge part is represented at every other location.
- You would think the 'repair tool' could be used to locate the repaired code line on the server map content and just update our map files. Apparently it's not that simple. (but it has been done before for a hot patch)
I would think that after numerous engagements and fighting around these bridge structures a few should be in a somewhat damaged or broken state. Great time to just lower that bridge section and make it a small jump down, or bypass to the ford location to it's lower left.
- This would be an excellent time to start testing small destructible object parts for those piers and bridge spans.
- The Piers have two sets of cable tensioners holding up the center rollers that support the disposable bridge section.
~ use one of these three item bridges and put it in the Beta testing build as an item that can be damaged and fall apart.(It's outside of the working map live code so can be used to test effects.)
If these bridge Piers were damageable:
It would need to be a dedicated effort to actually break a pier section causing the bridge to collapse.
- Tactically a great opportunity.
- Even if Mech's were present during it's destruction, the fall distance is very little.
This should not be the same damageable component as the larger bridge sections that lead to the center area. Those should not be 'removable'.
