After thinking about this for a week I've come to the conclusion this mech should never go C-bills.
I look to the direwolf as proof that all those who hate clan must have changed there minds because it is everywhere now making that mech feel cheap. The maddog isn't an Op mech actually the arms fall off if its looked at the wrong way but it feels good playing it since its in a club of sorts, Im not playing on ego here or anything just saying anything that costs real cash should stay that way., imagine if you bought a hero mech the one you always wanted and suddenly a few weeks later everyone had it? just because they have time to play and farm free C-Bills. I'll end with Thanks for reading Enjoy the game (Its getting better guys/gals) See ya on the battle field.
Founders and any other players who own any kind of mech and don't think that anyone else should have it, because they want to feel special and have a little VIP club, can all collectively *************. I know exactly what you mean, and I do feel the same pangs of greed when I see new Star Citizen backers being able to buy my ship that was supposed to be limited edition, or when new backers get the lifetime insurance that was only promised to veteran backers.
But then I tell myself to get some perspective and not be a greedy ****.
Why the hell should I care if more people around the world have the same digital robots and spaceships as me? How does that really deprive me of joy? How sad would my life be, if I was saddened by the fact that others could share the same awesome mechs and ships that I have? Especially, and this is important, when those people are supporting the game I enjoy playing.
We all share the same dreams and aspirations. We're all united by our love of mechs. I now own several mechs with unique geometry, and soon I may even own some unique variants that wont be available to others. I dont mind sharing any of it. Let's not be greedy and deprive others of joy.
That's why I'm thrilled to see that Star Citizen, at least, promises that everything that can be bought for real money now will be available for purchase in-game later. Even the most expensive ships will be available for C-bill equivalent, for both old and new players. That's awesome. Pay 2 Play.
