YES! More truly lore based hero mechs are such a must. I would buy that mech just for the lore of it!

Looks so sexy. Too bad it suffers from lack of hardpoints (Jenner got more) and small engine rating (max 250). But hey, if they add some nice quirks (like ER PPC cooldown, heat generation -50%, etc.), this mech could compete with others.

It will be nice to have the Panther, but I'm a little concerned that it will be DOA in terms of light mechs. It joins a tonnage group that includes 3 competitive chassis already, has the lowest engine value, no real advantage in armor, and probably the worst hardpoint allocation of any light mech chassis. The stock engine is even smaller than the Locust stock. This one will need to quirks for sure!

Whether the Panther is DoA is completely dependent on what quirks it gets. Give it 50% velocity/heat gen/cooldown for PPCs and then suddenly it is OP.

I am so giddy about finally getting to pilot a Panther I almost cannot contain myself. And Alex made id look absolutely awesome! If it's good enough for Minobu Tetsuhara then it's good enough for ANYONE!
