I think it's time we removed the tube restrictions on Missile hardpoints of all IS mechs. For clan mechs, even Lights have tube sizes of 15/20, which in practice is having no restrictions.

IS mechs suffers when they have weird sizes of 2, 4, 5, etc etc... Please remove these restrictions or at least increase them to say 10 or 15.

PGI doesn't even have to do anything cosmetically since the missiles magically appear anyway. For example, the VTR-9S can mount 3xSRM6. Cosmetically, it would still look like it has the old tubes but all 18 missiles would launch together

It would help to balance IS mechs against the Clan mechs

Tube sizes are selective for Clans as well.
Mad Dog's got tube limits of "20" "10" and "10" per side torso that can carry that many.

as i have pointed out, clan mech restrictions are far less restrictive than IS mechs and the point is to bring IS mechs up to par with Clan mechs.

hence my suggestion of moving up restrictions to 10 or 15. complete removal is not my only suggestion, if you have read through my post

IS Mech's launch full salvos though, that's a big difference as to what the Clanners have to deal with. Even a handful of IS LRM 5's will get through where a Clan LRM 10 won't.

I would say the builds isn't really viable if you're cramming more than that into it, hence less restrictive. How does it even work for clans if you go over the tube limits since they're already staggered?

Yes but the problem is IS has a lot of restrictive tube limits so your IS lrms loose the IS flavor and become more like clan lrms.
