Well after the patch I can tell you guys about my 3 TWs before the patch

My job in the Air Force was Weapons Control Systems lol

I worked on the HUD, Fire Control Radar stuff like that

My philosophy is go boat or go home

First up TW-C or Dakka wolf
Mastered with 3 medium lasers and 3 CUAC5s (set on chain fire)
Packed with ammo

This thing was ripping apart mechs, it worked so good I was scared to take it out for fear it would get nerfed

Well it got nerfed but my K/D at one point was 1.56 lol (was .67 in my jager)

MECH number 2 I call Streak-Wolf (sort of got the idea from Jager12 but he is ex-Army what would he know)

TBR-S I moved my experiment from my Timber Prime over to the jump jetted Timber-S

See the JJ's took up weight and slots but the Streak SRM-6's are light

Ok 4 each S-SRM6s, BAP, Targeting computer II (still experimenting with tag and targeting computer III)

Two medium lasers (for looks)

It worked fairly well, made lots of c-bills

Lastly the Timber Prime

4 C-ER-large laser’s and loaded with heat sinks

What a monster
It would make mechs go pop
It also ran petty hot so one side was on chain
Earlier today I found if I unchecked the lower arm actuator I could get 1 more heats sink

So I was playing with that then I took it off and added a targeting computer MK1

With a good pilot (which I am not) these things could be very dangerous

What do you think?

If you have to give up SRM6's or STREAK-SRM6 due to the added slots occupied by TBR-S jump jets.

Exchange the SRM6 for SRM2, SRM4 or the SSRM6 for SSRM2 or SSRM4. SRM's and SSRM's all have near to the same DPS. The only things that change are firing rates and damage spreads.

edit -

Is that true? I don't really know. But, I wouldn't be surprised if no one noticed a difference anymore than they'd notice a difference between CD quality sound and cassette tapes.

it was an experiment worked ok

sort of like putting a magic marker on the end of a long stick and running out to the highway and trying to mark up cars as they went buy

in theory they should work great heck fire and forget but the lock-on is not focused on infinity so your chasing the reticle around

and the slow rate of fire requires a lot of face time (that means you get killed)
a good pilot could make it work very well

TBR is a no brain mech, boat anything and its a good loadut (except MG's and ac 2's maybe)
Spam misiles, works, spam alsers, works, spam ballistics, works. mix any of that, works. There is hardly anything you can do wrong with the TBR.

Why do you have a targeting computer on a mech with missiles and 2 ER ML? Only the lasers are benefiting and you don't need the target info gathering because you can't aim streaks. I'd trade it out of an Active Probe if you don't already have one to keep ECM from locking down the streaks. Actually, I'd just take normal SRMs and consider artemis to tighten the group.

Waite let me look

Edit:
Ok for the streak wolf:

S-SRM's "Short range missile system that fires 6 tracking missiles that will always hit their intended target"

For the targeting computer:

Increases AC (except LBX) and PPC projectile speeds; laser ranges; AC (except LBX), PPC, and laser crit chances, increases sensor range, and speeds up targeting data"
22.5%

So to answer your question it’s for the 22.5% increase in targeting data speed

It does help, The MKII targeting computer does not seem to help as much
The med lasers are back-up since the S-SRM’s get shot off
I tried an ac2 but I need every bit of space for missiles
24 shot each time
Half way worked since the missiles hit the ground buildings your own team mates
They love locusts for some reason, saw some S-SRM’s chase a locust around a corner lol

Well, keep it if you like. But since streaks are going to target random locations anyways I don't think its worth the ton.

Again, I'd recommend 4x SRM6 + Artemis since you can aim those, they're lighter so you could get a few more lasers, and they fire faster.

Well I disagree I probably spent 70 mil C-bills trying every weapon except the C-Gauss and the C-PPC

Almost all the C-AC's are worthless the C-UAC5 give a good mix of weight savings and rate of fire
But its low hitting power means you need more then one
To get a constant stream of fire and to make up for the jams you need 3

To get 3 now you have to strip armor off the Mech (it’s a fine balance)

For the Beam Wolf I have a master with cool down and 13 or 14 Clan double heat sinks

Just on the ragged edge
Once the Dakka wolf got nerfed it became the best weapon
