I love the forums for precisely these posts. I think everyone has a little RoadBeer in them.

You know, the "I'm abandoning MWO" posts after every single patch day that changes something about the game?
Do these posts offer anything constructive I wonder...

You might not like how things were handled, but you're not everyone. And things are changing. If you want to publicly pout and denounce the game before leaving, go ahead, just know the doomsaying is just a liiittle bit dumb.

The topics flip up again and again on a 3 monthly base.
And they do it for longer then i care to remember.
I am pretty sure i saw the first of this in closed beta already.
They always reanimate when the game gets bigger changes.
And surprise, we are still here and still rolling and still shooting.
And i am quite sure we will still be here this time next year and we will still be able to find another "the Sky is falling" post.
Ninja edit:
I love the "PGI you have failed me" part. It adds a nice drama to the sauce.

Sad. Just..... sad. Careful analysis of that post literally broke my derpometer and my sadness gauge. Both were past warranty, so thanks for posting it.
That's all I really wanted to say, but I'll throw in something related to the topic...
Anyway, OP, to each their own. I don't play as much as I used to, but it's because the MM often makes me feel like I have to win the game on my own or my team will lose (particularly in PUG games). I've adapted to what I consider bad game design elements and I still enjoy playing until the MM starts giving me the stink eye and a "Here's your game, good f'n luck". That's when I call it a night. Next day (or a couple days after) I find myself right back here. Whatever game you play, just make sure it's fun; that is the point after all. Someday you might find yourself back playing MWO, then you might find it fun again.

Additionally, OP is ignorant of the game's development story. Early technical challenges, lack of manpower, publisher decisions, and prioritization of new players were what changed the priorities. PGI could not afford to focus on hardcore gameplay philosophy at the expense of the major features that were actually funding the game.
Your post is not accurate, either. It's ironic that you cite the popular outcry over 3PV and ignore the fact that most people also wanted Repair and Rearm gone. You misrepresent brawling as dead when it's not. I am also starting to wonder if anyone in the community has any idea how to implement role/information warfare in a way that is actually relevant, meaningful, and fun, instead of being merely complicated to satisfy the hardcores. On a related note, it is extra ironic that just today, a rewards system designed to promote role warfare comes online and you completely ignore it. Did you read the patch notes?
Sorry, I'm having trouble taking this seriously, despite your attempts to look sophisticated ("good day", LOL). You obviously haven't paid any attention to PGI's discussions of the development story over this last year, nor did you seem to notice today's patch notes, so I'm not impressed.
This...
Cest, this seems to be a collection of things that were confronted by Russ and company. All of the issues you bring up we've beat into the GROUND over the last 2 years. There is also no mention of the Town Halls that Russ has held, or your thoughts on that. Yes the Town Halls covered all those issues. So I'm truly at a loss why we're continuing to rehash all this stuff.
You said you haven't played since August, have you kept up with the Town Halls etc since August?

My comment on the game "Drying up" was in regard to Profits and content, not playerbase. Seriously, once they run out of mech to put in the game, what are they going to do next to take your money?

I have not followed the town hall. I honestly couldn't listen to russ and paul in the Dev V-Logs. The change from the Ask The Devs system that garth ran to the V-log system they is in today completely lost me. I'd rather read over pages of patch notes and discussions than watch a 20minute video of some company head force feeding us his views.

This seems to be a narrow-minded response as I clearly stated I played over 2 months ago. This post is in no way related to the current patch and whatever they screwed up this time.
Edit: To the mod that jettisoned this, If you don't want my feedback thats fine, I'll pack my 10hrs of premium time and 750mc and go.
