Smaller mechs rarely put large amounts of damage into one target like assaults can, meaning they don't get any of the high paying new rewards. Popping out of cover in my jenner and shooting someone was giving me a lot of 2000 CB hit and run bonuses, but that was all. Even a 612 damage game in the CN9-AH with its 30% bonus didn't get me 100k.

With just a random Pug victory, I got a bit more than usuall (200-250k usuall victory with PT and hero mech).
I love the huge list of bonus points.
Here is my last match in my 3xSRM6A Centurion + Artillery and UAV.
Lots of teamwork bonus on the caldera edge.

that looks alot less impressive once you remove the Mech and Prem bonus.......all that and a 155k game and 1562xp...Still a good game.

its a team game... you should be rewarded for how much you helped your team win.
not for competing with your team to do the most damage and kills.

Isn't that what the big guys "role" is? I mean everybody can't be narc/lrm spammer. Everone praises the new role rewards, but damge suffice to day are some mechs role. No?

New Reward with gift AS-7 (30% bonus)
2 Kills
5 Assists
499 damage
172,421 C-bills with premium and 30% bonus.
Old system (Kit Fox, no bonus)
2 Kills
5 Assists
451 damage
189,303 C-bills with just premium
227,164 C-bills adjusted value if the mech would have had the 30% bonus.
So virtually identical performance yet prior to this new rewards patch, I would have made 54,743 more C-bills. What??
This is an issue, a major issue.
That is ANOTHER 30% decrease in reward, on top of the 30% decrease we got when they changed the system last time. This is seriously not going to fly or keep me interested in playing much longer as I was already getting annoyed by the grind earlier.
Also Russ did it again. He was talking about the new rewards and again mentioned he thought they were too high. Seriously what the heck is he thinking.
Anyway, they keep things going this direction and all the positive goodwill they have managed to acquire over the last month or so is going to evaporate and quickly. Between the reduction of the rewards and that stupid change to fixed JJs on all Clan mechs, I am already finding myself starting to get super critical of PGI again and I really don't want to have to feel that way about a game I generally like.

This new reward system is a huge improvement over the previous one.
It also lets them do some more interesting challenges for weekends since they have more reward types to base points on. Generic "Get X Kills/Assists/Wins" challenges are no longer what we're limited to, and we may even get rewards themed to various types of challenges.
People will eventually figure it out
"I'm just here for the money" days are gone.
You have to contribute along with your team to win matches for the good payouts .

Yup working as intended I'm afraid. They musta felt we were making too much xp also. Guess they were not selling enough PT.
