Don't worry. This is exactly what I'm talking about in my OP. Kill steals aren't prevailing. Don't get me wrong though, you're still going to get c-bills for kills. But you aren't going to get rich off it, if that's all you ever do. There's quite a few people that are just throwing around ridiculous accusations with very little to back up what they're saying. Play the game yourself for a few days and draw your own conclusions. Look through that list under the big c-bills earned. That's the best way because many people around here are blowing hot air straight out their ass.

Unfortunately you're mistaken. People are seeing larger numbers, seeing a big variety of stuff on their list and not actually thinking about what rewarded what.

I'm going to set aside spotting for a minute because I think they did a good job encouraging spotting, and it will give you sizable rewards now.

Most kills in a heavy or medium, arguably the entire game will be within 400 meters. So if you get a solo kill in a medium or heavy you get Solo Kill (10,000) Kill (4,000) Brawling (4,500) totaling 18,500 cbills not including damage (let's be conservative and say 100, for 2,100 cbills) and salvage (unsure how this is calculated. If you're TAGing your target when it goes down you inexplicably get a kill bonus (6,000).

You just earned 26,600 for a kill, or 20,600 if you're not a douche that games the system (still not including salvage or component destructions). Meanwhile we have people making threads saying that the reason people are seeing low numbers is they're not sticking with their lances and playing as a team. Okay, let's look at how this new reward system is rewarding that behavior from someone espousing the benefits of it:Posted Image
Brawling is from the kill he got, so discarding that as it's tied directly to kills and not necessarily teamwork. That leaves us with a grand total of.... 8,485 from all non-kill bonuses combined.

So I welcome anyone to explain how the new system actually rewards non-spotter teamplay and not primarily kills.

Wow. A truly heartwarming story, I must say. So you would like more rewards than an LRM boat with 5 counters to their weapon, because a x6 UAC Direwolf that camps and looks in one direction can burst fire peoples CT’s, and that is somehow less cheap or harder to do than what an LRM boat does? I think someone is just jealous.

Needless to say, those are some pretty bold claims! Like I discussed in my OP, I’m taking what you say as hyperbole, or you’re comparing a bad Direwolf game and comparing to it to a good LRM boat game. But I cannot agree that you’re being completely honest, or aren’t twisting facts.

I think the whole point of the thread has gone entirely over your head. So far that you couldn’t even hear the wooshing sound. I think you should do those 100 matches for each mech, and tell me your average earnings are. I’m sure I can trust you when you say you played your hardest with each mech, right?

So you actually think that LRMing is harder than playing a Dire Wolf? Have you actually played a Dire Wolf? You can charge in and get 400 damage easily, but getting more than 600 damage is actually very difficult because you have a giant target painted on your back.

A LRM boat, in the current system, can remain in the back and and get 300k C-Bills even if a single missile hits - as long as they are out of sight, they get a huge bonus. You can do less than 200 damage and get more than twice as much $ as the Dire Wolf who does 1200 damage. Which player is contributing more to his team's victory?

And I don't particularly care what you think about me. Go read any of the threads on this forum where people are saying the exact same thing. Here's the Dire Wolf in question (and, surprise surprise, it's not me): http://mwomercs.com/...ewhale-matches/

Don't forget the fact that you can TAG for your own kill. So if you want more $, you should swap one of your energy hardpoints out for a TAG and use it every time you are brawling somebody.

Because this somehow makes sense.

Also works for non-missile damage. I got 16k TAG spotting bonuses in a game where I believe no LRMs hit my targets. It was mostly an Ember team that was following.

Thank you for the screenshot.
I played a match where I did 78 damage and got 160k c-bills In my CN9-AH. So it's not just LRM boats.. I'll post the screenshot when I get home. I tihnk I took a screenshot of all the bonuses that I got too because I was looking at it going "what? but my damage...". On that note though, I agree that 1200 damage should be awarded a little better. I'll have to try the lrm thing when i get home though.
My point is. it's not about damage (how much c-bills you get). My guess is it's what you do and where you are.. I don't know what that means as a direwolf pilot because I don't pilot them..But maybe there needs to be a new rewards for most damage dealt or sometihng like, "iron pillar" reward worth 50k c-bils where you received more than 300 damage, but dealt more than 800 or something. Tthat would be a heavy to an assault specific reward. A light can't really achieve that. And then on top of that anything over 1000 damage doubles the total c-bills gained from damage.

Impressive damage, i'll give you that.

Its what he gets for playing a direwhale!!! Joking aside this reward system just favors lights and lrm boats if pilot anything else you get the shaft for c bills. They really need to boost the rewards for playing heavies and assaults because right now skill doesn't equal more c bills.
