Mentioned to Russ (along with a few other people, I am sure, lol!) that the Wrath Pack would be even more appealing if the "better" Hardpoint model was the 30% "Moneymaker" Mech.

And lo and behold?

HECK YEAH!!! I am now officially more excited about my Zeus! And will take back (some) or the overgrown T-Bolt comments! Already dreaming how a UAC5 is gonna look on that arm!!!

Well played Russ, well played!!!!

Well unfortunately I am an energy manic so that actually appears to be a downgrade to me, however I am glad they are still showing they are listening to community requests.

On the other hand, I wonder if they will have anyone who bought the pack before the switch, upset about it.

TBH I'm not even sure what exactly was in the resistance pack. I just wanted the Atlas-S, the King Crab, and also wanted more mechs to play. I also wanted to show my renewed support for PGI with their current turn of management. The game is as good as it has ever been.

PS: King Crab looks so cool.

Maybe. Much better to revise in the first 24 hours I think, than further down the road.

Ultimate solution would be to allow customers to pick a variant as their "Prime", which is what I tried to propose back in CB for the Founders pack, but IDK if that would be too resource intensive.

Big thing was that there was soooo little difference, hardpoint-wise between the Grasshopper and Zeus.

One thing to note however, is the other Resistance packs are unchanged and the prime versions are still the 3050 variants rather than the 3025 variant like the Zeus was changed to.

Which, it appears in most cases is probably the more desirable variant. Though that will vary some from customer to customer.

It's kinda nice to get a Light and HEavy that are Laser/Missile centric, then a Medium and Assault that are toting Ballistics. Good balance.

So does that mean us poor folk who dont get the pack can't get that better variant down the track for C-Bills?

Awesome! I was going to wait until mid-late November to buy a pack, but I guess I will buy today instead! The other configuration was too energy heavy, given the Grasshopper was our heavy.

Pretty sure they will issue a refund, assuming you haven't used any of the freebie Premium Time at least.

They're all basic configurations, so you can get all the 'mechs for C-bills eventually.

Not at all. All pack 'Mechs, including the 'Primes' are always going to be made available for spacebux later. You just won't snag the Prime 30% C-bill bonus on any of them. Realistically, if you didn't/don't buy a pack, this change means absolutely nothing to you.

I'm quite pleased, of course. The 6S is a stronger variant for MWO, and more likely to be the best performer of the three. This change also helps the pack feel less energy-centric.

And maybe makes the top tier pack tastier.

Not at all! They will all be available for C-Bills. But the "Prime" version in all the Packs acts like a Hero Mech with the 30% Cbill bonus. And most people speaking up anyhow, really seemed to prefer the 6S, with it's ballistic arm, be that, rather than the 9S with no ballistics. Russ thought it over, and apparently agreed.

But you absolutely will have access to all 3 variants when they become available for cbills!

Is that the Enforcer? but that only has like 1 variant! then this must mean PGI has found a way around the 3-variant rule. this opens up new possibilities. (hello mauler)

also the Grasshopper's head looks great
