There are only a limited list and combination of weapons that you should bother buying lol.

Well actually you sort of can... by using trial mechs but obviously it probably the case that they won't have what you want to try.

Well, if they are mounted on a current Trial Mech you could hop into that and see what they are like. Just remember that heat might be VERY different.

Afraid not, would be kinda cool to have a test drive of some kinda before you buy a mech/equipment. Maybe take it to the training grounds.

No unfortunately one of the issues in this game. Personally I wish you could pick any mech, load it up any way you wanted and head to the testing grounds and test.

Well, picking up a stock mech to drop into the testing grounds sounds like a hell of a (bad) way to test a mech...

Trial mechs are at least tweaked pretty well.
