Now most builds will be unable to repeatedly collect these three rewards while also getting the "Protected" and "Lance Formation" boosts, due to the positioning typically required.
What do I suggest then to make the most out of the new system?
Equip an Lrm5 and *some ammo onto a medium.
Now you can contribute towards your C-bills...
- without direct-fire
- more assists
- *more overtime damage
- without getting shot
and in turn...
- help LRMs boats by carrying weight for them
- help spotters make money with tag
and when everyone is doing it...
- you can make more spotting money with tag
- you can be confident your team will have LRMs
- your ECM and AMS will be more effective
- more money = more upgraded mechs
*results may vary

My concern with the new system is how result can vary so wildly instead of being a consistent income.

Pack some ERLL, large ballistic. a big engine, TAG, RDep, Adv.zoom. Profit. Play something that can shoot very steep up to kill UAVs.
Early in the game you just paint enemies with ERLL. Doesnt really damage them but yields Hit/Run and Flanking rewards.
As the game progresses, move in to about 500-600m. Stay near a group that can protect you. Continue the laser spam. Point TAG at targets that receive damage. Scan whole groups with it if possible. Yields TAG Damage reward.
Always monitor targets, if one is close to blowing up unleash the AC20/Gauss and of course TAG on it.
In lategame where enemies should be more or less damaged you move in for easy kills. Keep on tagging.
Dont bother doing significant damage yourself and risk getting shot, its the killshot and TAG illumination that gives loads of money.

If your performance isn't consistent, why should your C-Bills be?
If your performance IS, then let's discuss

I'm only 28 but I remember these commercials when I'd stay up late as a kid. It also reminds me of the random spam messages that bots post in message boards.

Hit and Run - Rather amusing getting this in a mostly stationary Assault mech, but pretty hard to farm this in one.
Flanking - Can be difficult to get in some mechs as they are either too slow or too conspicuous.
Brawler - Hard to farm in an Assault mech since it is only available to mediums and heavies!?!?

Personally, I think this new system needs a lot of work because it is really lacking.

I would say it is, solo games can really vary though but for the most part I would say my group games are consistent,

This actually works in reverse too. I stand there staring into space, someone pops up, I unload and they go "Oh crap!" then run away. Hit and run. You hit them and they run.

get the hit and run + flanking bonuses with LL then get in 450M range and unleash hell on them to attempt Solo+Brawler+Most damage for good chunk of change.

I hope PGI are getting good data samples to analyse as I hope this doesn't turn out to be Lrmageddon 3.0 (or are we up to 5 now? I lost count).

With TAG on your target those LRMs hit like a truck, no joke. If you can dance with the minimum range you can still brawl wiht LRMs.

I'm sure I could switch and adapt, I used to play the Catapult A1 like that but a larger concern is if we all realise the best way to make decent C-Bills is to use LRMs then what will happen to the meta? Players will naturally gravitate to the path of least resistence and we'll be infested with LRM matches which is not fun.

I've been earning 200k+ c-bill matches with ER LL builds (but I haven't used lasers in a long time) and assaults with huge guns still bring up the 220-250k wins (of course most of these are with Premium and Hero mechs).
I'd give it some time. Take this LRM thing as one of the first things people discovered to earn. I'm sure other ways will come around.

True. I only played a dozen games last night so it wasn't really indicative plus it was the same mech. I might try with a few of my other mechs and playstyles and see how I go.
