How is the Zeus going to fit in with the Awesome and the Victor? The Awesome is PPC boat for the most part with the quirks. The Victor is the "agile" assault. So where does that leave the Zeus? Could it be somewhere in between as a somewhat more mobile energy boat assault?

I ask because I missed my chance at the full pack. Now I'm contemplating getting the Zeus A La Carte. Because I want to participate in CW. But I don't have the time to be grinding new mechs, let alone assault. Definitely don't want to use trial mechs.

Errr, you can still buy the full pack?!

Think of the Zeus as a bigger Tbolt.

What mechs will get the Faction Camo?
Also, can we get additional pics of the FFR camo? I'd like to see the text more clearly.

On one claw it says Klämsa which means Clamp. Wouldn't Klo (=claw) be better?

does anyone know if we will get any information as to the quirks of the resitance pack mechs, or is this something that will have to come out after the mechs are played for a while?

I may have missed it looking through this thread but does anyone know when we receive the pre-order bonus items? (Premium time, hanging cockpit item, etc...) It's not clear in the FAQ like the clan wave FAQ's.

I thought I read people have already had the 1st rewards injected but I have not received anything yet...

Premium Time got already delivered tho.

You can choose your faction packs already.
Goto Profile and then Content, or click here:
https://mwomercs.com/profile/content
EDIT: doh, thats for Clan packs.
We have to wait for IS Resistance Pack a bit more. sorry, my mistake.

You didn't miss your chance to get the full pack, just the first month's reward of extra premium time.

Zeus has 390 max engines on all 3 variants.
The cbill bonus one has 2 ballistics among energy and missile weapons.
The other two variants are energy boat with a missile, and missile boat with plenty of energy.

This means it can be faster than all non-hero Awesomes and non-hero Victors with a top possible speed of 86.9 kph.

I'm certain it will not have the Awesome's quirks, so the Awesome will still be better at certain things. Victors have more ballistic and missile slots, but are inferior in every configuration in terms of energy hardpoints, so the Victor will still trump the Zeus in ballistic superiority.

Zeus and Victor have identical maximum missile capabilities, but in general Victors will have more. Awesomes completely trump Zeus in maximum missiles.
Zeus trumps the Awesome in maximum number of energy weapons, but just barely.

Unlike both the Awesome and the Victor, the Zeus's missiles are always arm mounted, which has advantages when it comes to SRMs (you can aim and lead them properly against targets). Zeus's Ballistics are also arm mounted.

It is worth noting that the energy and ballistics do not share arms, so 'jump sniping' is out but then again no JJ anyway. You can have ballistics and energy on the same side, so wall/corner sniping is very possible, as is the 'shield-side' technique. This favors the left side on all variants however. All variants also have a CT energy weapon, so it could be zombied as well.

Yeah - was going to say that the Zeus's advantage is a blend of Ballistics, Missiles, and Energy. Awesomes don't have ballistics and Victors...well, okay - Zeus will probably have more armor? Not sure.

I suspect faction camo will be given free for the IS mechs in the resistance pack.
For any others I suspect it will need to be earned or purchased.

Much like "HotRod" camo for Phoenix mechs and "Polygon camo" for Clan mechs.

Right claw seems to say Klämma , wich means clamp or can be used as a verb for to clamp. The left claw seems to say Skärmaskin, wich would means cutting tool/machine.
Klämma is kind of "weak" and doesn't really fit on a claw thats supposed to crush you :) Klämma is what you can do on a girls boobs ;)
Skärmaskin would imply that you actually cut something and not crush like those claws would do since they are not very sharp or contain an angle grinder :) Also skärmaskin is not a word thats actually used so it would sound odd.

Would like to know what it says on the head.

and Btw just writing Klo on the claw would be like a sign on a door that said "door"

Can't really think of any good suggestion of what the claws should say though.

Nötknäckaren = Nutcracker :)
Snipp Snapp left/right
Benkrossaren = Bonecrusher
Burköppnaren = canopener

For the most part I agree with what you have to say, but remember there are also certain caveats between the Victor and Zeus in regards to missiles. The Victor may have more missile hardpoints, and thereby potential for brawling, but the Zeus will certainly fire out bigger "clouds" of missiles per volley, wherein the Victor has extremely limited tube space in that torso, which makes their missiles more susceptible to AMS, and even a set of 3 SRM6's comes out in staggered volleys, wherein the Victors will all come out at once, and -as you said- will be trainable on targets. A Victor tends to use missiles as secondary/backup weapons . . . while a Zeus will be able to set their build around them as a primary weapon.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think the Zeus will be a great hybrid brawling/fire-support mech. The hardpoints are conducive of a zombie mech, but it also carries enough other firepower across various hardpoints to be quite versatile. I also heavily concur that with the speed it's going to be a capable mech of good agility. Depending on where the arms hitboxes end (whether the shoulder discs are arms or torsos), then it could be quite XL friendly. However that depends explicitly on hotboxes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Admittedly I kind of want to upgrade my Rage pack to a Wrath pack, just because of how nice the Zeus is going to be . . . but I can't really justify the expenditure on a tight budget, and I'm primarily a light pilot, anyway (but I can't pass up on an Enforcer). But that leaves me torn on the two choices between Davion, Rasalhague, and Kurita Skins. Maybe the Warhorns will seal that fate.

Regardless, because I'm a Phoenix Overlord I still get the King Crab, so that makes me quite happy. Hopefully we do get these skins for the non-special King Crabs, because some of them look absolutely incredible on it. If we don't . . . oh no . . . looks like another mech I'll be happily putting my favorite camo, Hot Rod, on.

I sincerely doubt those skins will work on the special crab.
Do you know of any hero or package mech that has ever changed 'skins' or camo?

Shouldn't the Resistance Pack show up in Pre-orders? I mean, I know I was charged, I can still dig out the receipt, but nothing there...

Check again after tomorrows patch

Current theory is that the CW2 is pushing it off the top.
(if that makes sense)

You do not - yet

They recently put the Clan Pack 2 rewards up to pick though.
