So ya, the Zeus....another Awesome?

Oh wait, one has a ballistic in its arm...so its an 80ton Battlemaster.

That is what I was thinking when I read what it had, its just a 5 ton lighter Battlemaster....yay.
Pick a better mech people, geez, this mech adds NOTHING new to the game in terms of hardpoint configurations.

The grasshopper was a bad pick too, it offers nothing really new to the heavies.

no frickin´ mech in the current timeline that hasn´t been already announced yet, would add anything "new" to the game <_<

it´s all about the looks now

I just hope it's the same size as Jagermech, though looking at how PGI manages to screw over light assaults, making them as big as 100 tonners, makes me feel sad.

And as sluggish...

Mauler and King crab disagree...

I WAS looking forward to the Mauler for 2Ac2/Ac5 lols but then they nerfed autocannons :/

I'm still debating upgrading my A la Cart to a Masakari package just to get a king crab but thats basically paying 75 bucks for a king crab, because FK the summoner, Nova, Puma and stormcrow. I got the 3 clan mechs I wanted and they wreck face....dont want to pay 75 bucks for crap I dont even want...

And before anyone says "I DO WELL WITHOUT AC2s LEARN NOT TO BALLISTIC ***** NUB"

I dont drive assault class mechs with multiple ballistics to cram them full of machine guns. I WANT CANNONS ON MY DAKKA BOATS. If i want wubb wubb ill drive an awesome, or my Warhawks.

I am not sure if anyone knows this but they changed the primary of the Zeus to the 6S instead of the 9S you wishes have been granted.

Low hanging ballistics, and the rest are energy boats.

I don't see this being better than a Battlemaster.

Only real advantage is it gets that missile arm that probably wont have lower actuators, or at least no hand actuators. Its faster, can probably make some Derpy XL wubb wubb builds but nothing we havent seen before on battlemasters. I can only really see it being a bigger XL laser/Splat (srm) Awesome with marginally better hit boxes, and a ballistic option (HAH!) to toss ac5's on it.

But lets be real here, the main selling point of the thing is either energy boat, ballistic boat, or missile boat, none of which It can do any better than any other mechs (especially missile boating..ALL OF THEM IN ONE ARM? GG) we have in game at the moment, most of which have more weight to toss around, and IS ballistics are basically dead to me unless its the AC20 or the gauss rifle.

Just FYI, Bishop did the hard work on twitter and the 6S is now the C-Bill bonus 'mech.

Really?
Is that true Bish?
Edit: Yes, it shows here now: https://mwomercs.com/resistance
ZEU-6S (+30% C-Bill Bonus)

Bishop to the resque! For the glory of the 6S balistic arm!

Std 325, AC10, PPC, 2ML, SRM6, AMS:

XL380, 2AC5, 2ERLL:

Std 325, Gauss, ERLL, 2ML, AMS:

or the typical Gauss with 2 ERPPCs:

Just some quick ideas that are probably not perfect and nothing new compared to the Victor, but gives a few builds for people thinking of using the 6S Zeus.

you got a banshee for this.

and for dual ac/20....i want to see the KC in game first. i wouldn´t believe it to come near enough to kill more than one mech before getting focus-fired to oblivion.
and in the current meta....every dude would build it double gauss + erppc anyway.... or quadruple uac/5 since ac20 hardpoints tend to get inflated to at least 2 ballistics

so beside the new looks, neither a mauler nor a king crab would add anything really "new" to the game.

"new" i would consider something like a Fafnir, waltzing around with his double heavy gauss.....or Blazers, or Inferno SSRM, XL Gyros, Light Fusion Engines and stuff like this.

even MASC

Mauler, King Crab, Zeus, Grasshopper....they all add variety in mech choices. That cant be a bad thing. Sure the meta and loadouts might be the same, but atleast its not all Banshee laser vomit....or Dire Whales doing the GR/PPC Meta BS...

It was the GH or the BK. Guess which of the two offers more?

As for the Zeus, despite the big blue fist next to my name? I agree, and argued pretty impassionedly against it in the poll. I voted Cyclops, which at least was likely to offer some quirks, modules or possibly ecm toward information warfare. I really would have prefered the Charger out of the 3 offered, because despite the stinky stock versions, the variety of models for tweaking is impressive for an 80 tonner. But I also knew people would look at the base charger and say "5 small lasers?!?!?!?" Terrible!, not think beyond that and vote for something else.

at this point, until the tech jumps start happening, not a whole lot truly "new" left to offer.

Huh? What? Hey? How?

Bishop, you got the bonus Zeus changed?

Nice! There's a pint of beer for you on the bar at "The Full Moon" in Rudge tonight!

PS, Rudge is a little village just outside of Warminster here in the UK. Is that likely to be a problem?

So? Thunderbolt is a amazing mech and the Zeus will be the boss.

(btw tell me which thunderbolt can do 3 x LRM 15? or SRM 6?
Or (possible) AC 20? Or multiple energy weapons with little performance issues?)

Hitboxes will either be XL unfriendly, though if it's not as big as Awesome I'd call it a good hixbox localization:

Or life unfriendly:

IMO, there are the most likely hitbox layouts (though, the "blinders" around the cockpit, by themselves, could be either CT or LT/RT)...
