So with the quirks the dragons are getting do you think they will be worth running?

I do not notice many of them in game and know they are considered to be like playing the game in hard mode due to the hit boxes. Will the quirks be enough?

1N is decent,1C is better,Flame is good.

Large XL-engine(360),gauss+4 ml for the Flame and 1C,with 1N you might consider 2 AC5:s and 2 medium pulses + big engine + lots of ammo.

I also had fun with 5Nc-trial back in the day.

This is what *they* want you to run:

EDIT* Noone seems to understand the point I'm trying to make. The IS Quirks are assuming you'd run a certain build. I absolutely LOVED my Dragons in days past and never ran without an engine size below 325 but mostly 350. I would NEVER run this build.

Nope. A slow dragon is a dead dragon. This is a terrible setup. At stock speed of 68.9, its only got the speed of a Warhawk and none of its firepower or armor. So sorry, this is not what they want you to run and its pretty worthless too.

Yes, the 255XL is a poor call (if it wasn't just an example place holder), this build is very similar and runs a 300XL.

DRG-1N

Still not sure if I like how strict and inflexible the quirks are. I would have made them less weapon specific.

a dragon is always worth running.

Thinking of buying the master bundle, think it's worth it?

Much better. I was just making fun of the strict quirks they've assigned to it. In other words; I would never EVER run this; but their quirks say this is the build it should have.

They are likely to remain terrible, since every other mech is also getting buffed.

Dragons

Only had time for a few matches last night and I decided to take out my very first mech, good old "FUNZOR" the 1C. Couple shots from last night.

Wow I have to agree with the other posters, thats a horrible build IMHO tastian.

Dragons are striker mechs, designed to do hit&run attacks at speed and generally from range.

I love both my dragons and they both. perform well. the flame is setup as a grand dragon 5K, The 1n also with an XL360 is running TAG, streaks, machine guns, AMS, and an ERPPC in the high shoulder point.

Dragons-run fast or die.

My only competitive dragon is my Flame, running at 100kph with a AC20 and a few mLas.

Well if you need a fast heavy for the upcoming CW it is not a bad pick and the tweaks should help the average player. But it is still a Dragon in every respect. So the same issues as it have to day.. will still be there to some extent.

I'll probably keep running AC10+PPCx2 on them even after the quirk adjustment.

All we need is at least a couple of variants 1n-5n to run without the lower arm actuator on the right arm.. then hilarity ensues.

Would you be willing to give smurfy links to some of your better builds?
