it seems in peak times my frame rate is lower ....if I go in the training grounds its much higher ... or if I play none peak

am I going mad or is anyone else seeing this

Nope, it isn't just you. I had an entire match on HPG last night where it was constantly feeling slow and and stayed in the 30fps range with a few lights able to teleport around magically.

running more than enough gpu cpu ....

I mean X99 5960x x 2 titans 16 GB ram

why dose this game run so bad

i have the same cpu ( oe @ 3,4 ghz ) and a r290x oe .. tripple screen .. and 60 (+/vs limited ) fps.
maybe you consider to shut down 1 titan since its useless anyways.

its odd most the time I get 60 and over give or take ... but when its busy ... can drop 45 ?

well lets see

Your whole screen freezes ? if yes its most likely the connection or the server since your system will stop when there is nothing "to do"

if not :

1.
it depends which software you are using to check your fps.
Since sli will produce micro frame lags some tools count them as fps drop so... a lower fps will be shown as avg.

2.
since you have 1.3k in gpu and cpu i dont think you are using 32 gb of junk RAM in your pc ( i guess some endgame like top end dual rank or some adata xpg ) but to check if it works w/o causing problems : everest ultimate ( it got a 30 days free trial )

3.
what resolution are you using ? maybe lower it when your having your fps problems.. if it fix your problems.. your gpu´s are the problem if nothing happens.. everything should be allright with your cpu and gpu ( tho test it when you shutdown 1 titan and play only with 1 it should provide more as enough power ).
to test your gpu´s atleast heat and data wise you can use FurMark.. its also nice where you at with your system @ the online ranking :)

i hope it helps.. or atleast closes some doors to find the real problem.

forgot to mention that im running 3240 x 1920 ...triple monitors . anyhow new drivers came out for NVidia ... much better performance now .. but still every now and again ...drops to 45 I will try one gpu

I'm consistently at ~90 FPS in-match since I upgraded my GPU (gtx 660). I haven't played for about two weeks though.... I'll watch my FPS when I can finally play again.

Makes me wonder if one could lock local framerate to some whole number multiplier of the 30 ticks per second that server is doing. Might be good to deal with the same virtual reality as the server is dealing with.
Thoughts?

I want to say I think they capped FPS at one point way back during CB, capped it at 40 or something. I know the mechlab was capped at 30 for a while too.

It has only ever been capped in the mechlab if I recall correctly.

lol no.

'Server load' has no bearing on your FPS. The game just doesn't run well on any hardware.

Confirmed. They put in a cap that prevents the mechlab from going to 400 FPS and straining your graphics card.

Same here, server connection lost twice, can't rejoin, dumps back into mechlab.

OP posted on october 22nd which is tuesday/wednesday.

Microsoft has something called patch tuesday. http://en.wikipedia....i/Patch_Tuesday

I would guess Windows updates (patch tuesday) are running in the background, consuming CPU resources, causing lag.
