Okay PGI...why are the servers broken on this very exciting tourney weekend?

Obviously, reading comprehension is lacking. Let me spell this out for you. This. Will. Not. Show. Us. Anything. Period. End of story. Look back to the post I made about points. It is just as possible to snipe kills and get 250+ points per game in a locust as in a dire whale. The strategy may be slightly different, the results are the same. Will the points be different? Absolutely. A lot of it will depend on how good/bad the rest of your PUG pile is in each match. Very little of it will depend on the chassis itself, more will depend on how good you, as a pilot, are at sniping kills.

if you think so you ahv no idea, it DOES show what chassis has which potential, because the last tournament already showed how much maximum potential the CLan assaults have, and how much the clan lights have compared to the IS class. but sure keep claiming your weired points. Some emchs easily rakc up the points others not. And that will be shown, just wait for the results or sunday when the first day is over. That event is shwoing the potentials a class has, take it or deny it.

because the event attracts many players. too many for the server.

No, adder is the chassis, there isn't even a difference between variants. Just ADDER

Does anyone else worry that these server hiccups could ruin the tourney?

For example: match starts, server hiccups. 20 of 24 players lose connection to server. After fighting, only 1 mech is left that isn't disconnected. That one mech farms every kill and every single component from every single disconnected mech on the enemy team.

That could potentially get some people an unearned gigantic score.

Stake the mechs against each other to find out/reconfirm their place for the upcoming quirks.

except this will not do that, it is a per chassis challange not a per varient challange, if they had done it as per varient, and combined XP + cbills total (discounting any premium time, package mech, hero and champion bonuses) of best 10 matches it may have provided information useful for judging mech tier, but not as a per chassis challenge, e.g. how many Spider pilots will be taking the V (with just 2 CT energy hardpoints) when they could be taking the A(1m, 2b, 2e), K (4b, 1e) or D (3e, ECM) instead

I think they have to investigate the matches with disconnects - had matches with a lotta dmg and kills and then dc..

Man I want to make a run at the Vindicator, but I probably have to sit sit one out. All of my best mechs are mediums, and this 50% or higher medium queue is brutal.

Releasing the Crow, new Cent, and having the Shadowhawk sale all at once is killing me on the wait times.

The whole point of tournaments is to get people playing as much as possible. It sort of works against their best interests to make it so that playing more doesn't help your score.
