I giggle at the players that use realism as a way to point out OP... Because the video game about huge robots fighting in the future is not real enough for them!

Actually I would love it if MWO were more a sim than a shooter. Lock engine ratings to curtail speed inflation and get people to actually treat mechs as the Big Stompy Robots they are. Slow down combat in general so tactics and aim become more important. Rework weapons so that pin-point front-loaded damage can't be done together so you can't simply core CTs all day...

Unfortunately this game will never be that game. Partially because PGI didn't want to make that game and partially because the 'MechWarrior Generation' won't accept an actual BattleTech sim.

A NARC Beacon, when attached to an enemy 'mech that is equipped with ECM, does not knock out the enemy's ECM but it remains functional so if the enemy switches to Counter Mode then they will be able to be tracked until the NARC expires or they switch back to Disrupt mode. Unless recent updates caused that to change. Otherwise the only way to counter the ECM is by having one on your team in Counter mode and/or using UAV and/or using TAG and/or just being close enough to the enemy 'mech.

Granted, ECM isn't exactly immunity, but the more mechs on your team that have it, the better it is. A single NARC knocks out an ECM for while, but when 5 or more mechs have ECM? Good luck with that.

If you NARC a non-ECM mech and he gets under another ECM umbrella, the NARC is suppressed.

If you NARC the ECM mech itself, is ECM is suppressed for the duration of the NARC beacon and the ECM neither 'works' for the mech carrying it or anyone in the 180-meter radius.

Not sure if a NARCed ECM mech can switch to Counter to nullify other ECM, haven't tested that.
