Several days now, just when the battle starts. moving, after 2-3 mins at most spamming my ears "warning, missile" , "warning, missile" , "warning, missile" , "warning, missile" , "warning, missile"

So, what means the mwo? Honestly now mech cause mechs are hidding at 1000m.
The name stands for Missile warrior online.

If we keep on saying something does it become an immutable truth?

If a tree falls in the forest with no one to hear it does it make a sound?

Missiles have played a part in my dying quite a lot. But so have Ballistics and Energy weapons.

The only time I have even actually noticed missiles this whole weekend (because, by now, I don't even notice them, I just autopilot to avoid them) was getting LRM'd by an Atlas. You know what I did to that Atlas? I ate the missiles in my fresh Dire Wolf (lost about 20%) as I waltzed right up to him and shoved 50 tons of direct fire weapons in his face at 100 meters. I lost 20 of my mech. He lost only 15%...but i was that 15% that sits between his right torso, and his left torso. That was the only notable experience I have had with missiles recently.

maybe, maybe not, I do not remember back when it was the last time, but I am sure I died to some narc during the last week. but lrm's are probably the least of my causes to die. But when I am the only one on caustic shooting at the UAV's which made me took down 4 in a single minute, then I do understand why so many have troubles with lrm's.
Avoiding missiles is all about situational awareness and some mapknowledge.
Know roughly where the opponent is, stay at places that deny a line of sight or give you cover that the lrm's will impact into.
If still there is suddenly lrm rain without seeing someone around you, its very likely an UAV up there around. 10 seconds of UAV can already mean serveral hundrets of damage raining down on your team, they are a serious threat.

Beeing new to the game, makes lrms look evil, because you don't know where they come from, and where you should hide. It seemed to be an unavoidable death for me at these times very often.

I'm currently running my Cat C1 with 3LLasers (with LLaser cooldown module) and 2 LRM5s.

The only reason I have LRMs is because SRMs get blown off too quickly because of the big ears and I couldn't bare to run a Catapult without missiles.

Anyway, the point....

The enemy doesn't often know what is incoming when they get that message "Incoming Missiles". Unless they have you targeted and see you launch the missiles, they are only left to assume it will be a boat streaming LRMs.

It's funny launching 2 LRM5s and watching the enemy scurry to cover because they don't know if it is 2 LRM5s or 4 LRM15s (at least not right away). Its amusing to me anyway.

Ah, we are on the same side here anyway.
Still, its not the fault of the LRMs when stuff like that happens ;-)
