MECHWARRIOR ONLINE: READ EVERYTHING FIRST PLEASE!
Mechwarrior Online mechs are here! First off here is the game link: http://mwomercs.com/ You will need to at least look at the artwork or play the game to see what a mech looks like to assemble a mech which does not have a complete 3d model. Out of the 39 current in game mechs there are only 13 full mech 3d models. I have converted these into .pdo format. Those .pdo files are just a raw conversion and WILL need to be gone through to make a finished .pdo model. I do not have the time to do this so hopefully we (the members here) can help each other out. For each of the 39 mechs there are anywhere between a few hundred to several hundred .obj files. The .obj files are for each component and represent all the different possible ways a mech can be built. To see how you can build a mech properly go to: http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/mechlab In addition, there are different levels of 3d renders for components showing high, medium, and low detail PLUS files representing damaged main components (arms, legs, etc.). There are also extras which I have dug out of the game when I could such as the inside of cockpits and projectile details. It sounds like a lot of files/info to sort through (it is lol) but once you figure it out it isn't too bad to go through. Say a large laser would have 3-4 files just for it depending on the level of detail you want. In the game lower detail renders are used at far range and the highest detail at close range. I would only use the largest file for any part as it contains the best detail and the smaller files are unusable for a Pep model in my opinion. You will need to build bracing and custom tabs to assemble all of the parts together if you are piecing it together from individual files. This is going to be an advanced build. Tough but rewarding. Given that the files are too numerous and large they are combined into one rar file. Here you go:
