Explain what you mean by support. I was under the impression +10% cooldown on ballistics would bring GR and AC20 recycle time up to 4.4 seconds.
There are no more negative quirks I thought

But it gets worse, way worse. For instance the Centurion gains SRM4 bonuses. There has never been a single Centurion that has carried and SRM. Medium mechs that do carry and SRM: 1st up Kintaro, a stock SRM boat. Wolverine, ShadowHawk, Hunchback, Trebuchet, pretty much every medium mech in the game except a Centurion.

The K2 didn't get LL buffs it got ML buffs its the jester who got LL buffs also the CN9-AC comes stock with SRMs. But honestly even though none of other stocks use SRMs its still the favorite weapon to use on Cents or at least that's what I have seen.

Centurion A(C) is not a Centurion variant, it is simply a custom mech PGI built, which is not a defining variant in the game, and quirks should not be based around it. It would similar to giving AC20 bonuses to Jagermechs, because they are popular.
My Error on the Catapult, must have been looking at Jester. here is the relevant entry. Still not bonus to the primary weapon system. I'm not sure that giving bonuses to Medium Lasers and Machine guns is better or worse than Large Lasers. This is PPC mech, and that should be the primary focus.
Catapult K2 - Tier 3 Skirmisher
Medium Laser Range +7.5%
Energy Weapon Range +7.5%
Medium Laser Duration -7.5%
Laser Weapon Duration -7.5%
Ballistic Weapon Cooldown +10%

If they could mount good PPCs people might actually do that since they are high mounted n all.
I havent run mine in a long long time, by the time i was going to try again they nerfed PPCs and i just sighed and moved on

Don't remind us.... I really hope PGI gives K2 the PPC buffs it deserves,

"standard" build in MWO for a K2 is 2xAC10 4xML. So the buffs make sense.

There are 2 reasons why the K2 ever became associated with big ballistics.
1) It was the only mech with ballistic hardpoints in 2 different locations.
Being able to take 2xGauss, 2xAC20, or 2xAC10 when nobody else could was a boon. That time has passed.
2) Non-dynamic geometry meant that loading a Gauss in the MG slot was the size of an MG.
Tiny side torsos made this effectively a dual gauss zombie. Now the Gauss is big.
At this point, why not just take a Jager?

- Some variation of additional structure/armor for RA/LA
- stacking Energy and PPC heat bonus (-% heat generation)
- stacking Energy and PPC range bonus OR shorter Laser beam time plus PPC velocity bonus
The chassis shouldn't get ballistic bonuses at all. None of them would work for MGs except range, and MGs are by far the least-important weapon system on it.

Except if you buffed the PPCs for it it wouldn't be.
I'm not some lore hounding loon, but holy heck, that thing was made to be a PPC carrier. It's built for it. It has this really great layout for it. High mount arms, great for peeking. It looks great with those PPC barrels (Even the tiny ones; part of why they don't want to give it those boosts, because then maybe people will stop asking about the beefy barrels?)
It's a 'mech that was designed to do it's job very well.
You want a ballistic and med laser 'mech? GET A JAGER.
Unfortunately, this quirk scheme for this mech is pretty much just turning it into a really bad Jager with torso mount ballistics instead.

The K2 gets bought for ballistics. Running PPCs pretty much precludes using the ballistic slots for anything other than machine guns because you need to store bunches and bunches of heat-sinks.

And?
The K2 runs MGs stock. Quirks are intended to give people reason to run builds closer to stock. The K2's primary weapon system is PPCs. Therefore the quirks for K2s should be for PPCs.
If you want ballistic quirks the Jagermech is right over there.

Yep, you can keep your UAC5s or whatever on your K2 even after they fix the quirks to be PPC-centric.
