...and while not sporting the heaviest armor of any assault 'Mech, there are absolutely no weak points to its protection.....The only reliable way to destroy a King Crab however is overwhelming numbers of heavy and assault 'Mechs and casualties will be suffered in the attempt.

I love that the Sarna description say "casualties will be suffered in the attempt". Not "casualties may be suffered to bring one down" or anything like that.

But no. It says you will suffer casualties when attacking one, and you might not even manage to bring it down either.

I just like the fact that it has no basic weak points in the armor design. You better bring all the laser vomit and dakka vomit and LRM spam you can *************.

If they made them as difficult to bring down in game as described the sarna text, you'd start seeing full teams of them and the QQ would melt the forum server into a puddle :)

As it stands, I'll never see more than four in a lance together. So what is four king crabs vs 3x dire wolves and a Atlas-DDC? I don't know, but I would like to find out first hand.

Yeah, it also says this about the Awesome:

Quote

The Awesome is built around its impressive all-energy based arsenal and heavy armor making it a highly independent and powerful assault 'Mech. Rugged and reliable, the Awesome is traditionally used in a vanguard role when penetrating enemy defenses.

I think it will be a missile magnet with its large surface area.

I vote on the King Crabs winning pretty much everytime.....mostly because you cant aim at a Direwolf and NOT hit the CT...same almost goes for an Atlas.....The KIng Crab looks like its really short and narrow.....so actually landing everything on it's CT wont be as easy.
