Self explanatory. Something in the cockpit that represents our...... or at least my, favorite whiskey, I call him John.

Greetings,
I would assume that advertising a brand (liquor especially) it not something that PGI is actually allowed to do, or wants to support.
- Let alone the repercussions for supporting only one whiskey! (lol)
Brand identification within a game is a very tricky business, many lawyers suddenly become involved.
Probably best to not go there. Now Lore only, named factious items of beverages may be possible.

I don't know about something labeled Jack.. but I'd love to have a flask. Gundam 0080's cockpits were always very likely, with cigs, booze, and a dirty mag or two.
Cyclops team was probably the most believable group of pilots ever in Gundam. Having a flask like Mikhail did would really make my day in mechwarrior.

they need permission to add an item with the brand name, Pretty sure JD doesnt need to associate with a game that is actually struggling to keep their player base.

It could be a source of revenue for the Devs.
Have a purchase option for all the top brands.
But like 9erRed said... the many lawyers would negate that revenue.
...Damn lawyers.
