Prediction #2: on equal skill teams, clans win 80% of games. Quirks do nothing for that..only for idiots who brought Tier 5 mechs intro drops.

I think it's safe to assume that the playerbase is smaller in Europe, yes? I tend to see far worse play during odd hours (US East coast, here), when it would be mostly European players online. With a smaller playerbase, the matchmaker would have to loosen Elo restrictions quite a bit, so even if you are a pretty high level player, you have a far greater chance of getting matched up against the kiddie pool. I know I tend to get my best tournament scores in the morning hours.

Honestly, this is pretty much the only positive aspect of the MPLs; you can abuse their alphas.
WubShee can work around it, though. Until they link every single laser in the game, rather than fixing the underlying issue.
It reminds me when i maxed the BJ-1x with 6x mpl and 8xmpl... sure it´s a fireball after 2nd Alpha... but only 70+ tons mech have enough Structure to survive a 2x Alpha of those right in the back..... and most of the times you can fire the 2nd before they realize there is someone in their backs....

the times i can play is already very late evening/early night in germany.
thats where the murricans already start to play.
also, the elo works towards your own team as well. i have to compensate for the worse teammates in that battle. that can be damn frustrating depending on what mech i play.
