How To Kit My Dw-B?

I'm averaging 200-500 dmg per run so far and hoping to increase that as I get more used to assaults.
What I don't like are the PPC's, I'm still far too bad to make good use of these and I'm considering of swapping them for er-large lasers. Would this be a bad choice?
Gauss seems too complicated for me with the load time otherwise they would perhaps be cool to use?
I really like playing a bit like a sniper, going in and out of cover to shoot bursts with the uac/weapons I have.
My comfort zone seems to be 300-700m, this is where I usually ditches most of my dmg.
Would love to have some input from experienced players!
Do you have any tips for fun builds/weapon combos for the Dire Wolf B?

LA + RA = 2 LPL, 2 erML.
+ mk 1 targetting computer, cBAP, ammo and heatsinks.
Runs very cool, 1-2 alphas will melt almost anything.
Or, 2 gauss, 1 ppc (CT) + 4-6 ML (arms).
Or the usual 4-5 uac 5's + a bunch of ML.
edit - whenever possible, use the "A" right arm, add the lower arm actuator for better range of motion, and 2.5% better energy weapon cooldown compared to prime arm.

This is a decent ranger build too.

So far:
4x UAC2, 2x PPC, 2x M pulse laser
and according to most of you, 4x UAC5 and some energy for when the AC runs out. Is there a reason not to go beyond 5? Are 10/20 nevr worth it over smaller caliber?

It sounds very Dakka, but what is the playable range/distance with UAC10? I've been very tempted to run higher caliber AC's, just because I want every salvo to feel like a flying sledgehammer.

well technically you can run 4 uac 20s, ultra ac 80s if you will, but it runs so hot its not worth it. but it will put down pretty much any mech that it looks at.

I just watched a video of 4x AC20, it seemed a bit too hot for my taste, it was basically a salvo and then you're done for quite some time.

The only downside being the LB is a little ammo restricted, but my UAC 5s generally last me till end game.
Still hands down one of the most fun builds for me, even if its not super meta, but hey thats what dual gauss/LL/ML builds are for.
