I'm actually surprised we don't have a Raven available; I thought the Raven was purely Clan...

The Raven is a House Liao Mech. First built in 3024 after the third succession war http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Raven

I bet it will get poor combnation of ES/FF, some useless locked-in equipment and most of its best omnipods will be missing.
Yes, IS will definitely QQ hard. They will also be dying from excessive laughter.

Nope.
Unlike the Adder, the flamer is modular and not build in.
It has 7 E hardpoints, 5E+ECM(ECM on the Prime variant!) or 5E + 2M just to mention the best and realistic omnipod combinations.
6 JJ fixed in both legs and CT. One fixed DHS in one side torso. 143 kph speed with elite.
With only 14 fixed slots for endo/ferro they can't do anything wrong with it.
Energy weapons take only a few slots and they have to keep enough slots for the stock weapons anyway.
8,5t free pod space after maxing the low stock armor values are enough for some decent punch.

Phantom will be an even greater suprise to the IS wolfpack when introduced. Espcially with ECM capabiltiies.
The Phantom has great speed and a huge amount of E-hardpoints but only ~6t free pod space after maxing the low stock armor values.
High value engines like it's XL360 are imo a bad trade between pod space and speed.

This is true but with the Clan specifications with weight allowances this does make this Mech comparable with IS lights for speed and firepower, but perhaps affording a better armour when reconfigured.
In context then and as Phelan Ward designed it as a response to IS tactics as part of the observed IS mechs in Operation revival. It is then a very situational mech most ideally suited for anti IS light response and hunting them with perhaps some light insurgency styled roles. It is not as flexible as say a Stormcrow certainly as far as Clan Mediums go, but it was desiged purposefully with this in mind.
It will be the effective goto recon platform (subject to ECM and JJ use) imho as result given the current capabilties we see with Clan lights and other Mechs. Though the Mist Lynx, Artic Cheetah and Ice Ferret all to some extent having some capabilties here also as recognised Clan Scout platforms.
