Personally it's the Firestarter-H, but that's just because I don't own any of the mechs getting really extreme quirks.

There are lots of mechs I want to try out, awesome 8Q, locusts, wolverine 6K etc.

But I'm not about to go on any wild buying sprees just for extreme quirks because I'm quite sure some of them will be toned down after testing. Plus I've been saving cbills for timberwolf cbill release.

Yeah, the Jager DD I was about to buy anyhow and it's getting nice chainsaw quirks.

I need to get the Sparky. Been hoping for a sale on it at some point but might be to soon to expect that.

Katapult K2
It is going to be awesome to finally see the iconic profile finally carrying its signature loadout. For years those hanger rack arms have sat unoccupied, but finally, with the much needed PPC quirks, it will it will once again be the premier (only?) PPC-based Heavy mech chassis.
PGI, thank you so much for realizing that MWO is a Battletech game, and that lore matters and without it, we may as well be playing Hawken or Heavy Gear.

this got me so excited and happy, had grand visions of zooming around in my kat again
but then i realized the cruel irony and sarcasm... and am now very sad and disappointed :(

Awww, did they remove the ability to put PPCs on the K2? :(

It's REALLY fun to play. Definitely good in the solo queues where brawling is a lot harder to pull off. But still not as good as the 1N and 3M. Not the best, not the worse. Great place for a Hero mech to sit :)

The quirks for it will go nicely for my mini-stormcrow build: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...651fe1bdb84bb99

I'm looking forward to the Spider-5K and Spider-Anansi. But I am curious, why is the Blackjack-Arrow getting AC/20 buffs when it never came with an AC/20? I thought these quirks were suppose to be more representative of their default load outs?

No, it is still a perfectly fine tier-4 PPC mech, on par with the other catapults, sans jump jets, of course.
Hopefully you are on my team when I run it, I will need all the tryhards that I can get to keep my elo afloat.

I personally used the cookie-cutter 2 LL + 4 ML laservomit build with an XL310.

Either way, one of the best IS mediums is about to get better...

Yeah that's my bread and butter build, just with ERLL and an XL320.

I'm liking this 116kph though. Doomcrows can't escape me or chase me down.

I disagree. Sparky is the strongest Griffin imo.

Yeah, you probably know more about Griffins than I do.

I am excited about AWS-8R and HBK-4J LRM quirks.

Also, quirk or no, that Clan LPL buff is gonna make the Doomcrow and the Cheatwolf even more OP.

If only lore would have predicted that PPCs are way more powerful on mechs with JJs in FPS game. They might have given them to the K2. Lost opportunity :(

Still, tomorrow's forecast calls for medium amounts of dakka with a high chance of WUB.

i lol'd
also, wubs are getting buffed wholesale... check it: http://mwomercs.com/...26#entry3867926

i am looking forward to all the quirks...apparently i've been piloting a lot of crappy tier 5 mechs and loving this game, so we'll see how much i will enjoy myself when all my mechs get massive buffs.

Yep, i've already been SCIENCE'ing:

Stalker 5S
Large Pulse Laser Range 7.5%
Energy Range 7.5%
Medium Laser Duration -7.5%
Laser Duration -7.5%
Missile Heat Gen -10%

So, even with the LPL duration being increased to from 0.6 to 0.67 in the NOV4 patch, with Range and Cooldown level 5's slotted in, and the quirk changes, you'd have quad LPL with:

Duration (quirk): 0.67*(1-0.075) = 0.619s
Range (module+quirk): 365*(1+0.125+0.075+0.075) = 465.3m
Cooldown (module): 3.25*0.875 = 2.84s

Also, looking at the MLAS changes:

Duration (quirk): 0.9*(1-(0.075*2))= 0.765s!!!
Range (module): 405*1.125 = 455m
Cooldown (module): 3*0.875 = 2.625s

Also, WUBRAVEN:

Raven RVN-2X
Additional Structure (LL&RL) 4
Additional Armor (LA) 12
Turn Rate 10%
Large Pulse Laser Range 10% = 365*(1+0.1+0.125+0.2) = 520m (quirks and module)
Energy Range 20%
Large Pulse Laser Heat Gen -10% = 7*(1-0.1-0.1) = 5.6!!! (quirks)
Energy Heat Gen -10%
Medium Laser Range 10% = 405*(1+0.1+0.125+0.2) = 577.1m (quirks + module)
Medium Laser Duration -10% = 0.9*(1-0.1-0.1) = 0.72s
Laser Duration -10% = LPL = 0.67*(1-0.1) = 0.603s

Centurion 9-D, not because I want to use the LB-10x, but even the 20% rate of fire for any other ballistic gun is good enough.

Orion-M is likewise a good choice for generic ballistics.

But, the main one will be the Awesome 9M. I love that I can run an Awesome as it should with triple ER-PPCs.

Am I reading this right?:

Raven Huginn 35 5 Additional Structure (LL&RL) 4
Raven Huginn 35 5 Additional Structure (LA&RA) 3
Raven Huginn 35 5 Machine Gun Range 12.5%
Raven Huginn 35 5 Ballistic Range 12.5%
Raven Huginn 35 5 SRM4 Range 12.5%
Raven Huginn 35 5 Missile Range 12.5%
Raven Huginn 35 5 SRM4 Cooldown 25%
Raven Huginn 35 5 Missile Cooldown 25%
Raven Huginn 35 5 Missile Heat Gen -15%

means that if I fit SRM4s and MGs to my Huginn the SRM4s will have a 50% cooldown bonus (firing every 1.5 seconds) and 25% range increase (to 337m), and the MGs get a 25% range increase? I think those are promising quirks, allowing swapping the normal dual SRM6 build for dual SRM4s to use the weight savings for ammo. On my Huginn's dual LRM5 build the extra 12.5% range and 25% cooldown will be of use as well.

Thunderbolt 9S because it's going to become the new K2. I like my k2 for sure but full face exposure to shoot things is not my style.
