This thing is too big, too slow for its size, and has very limited hard points for an omnimech. And it isn't very pleasant to look at. That the variant with the c-bill bonus is, once again, objectively the worst variant (no CT hard point) is really the final nail in the coffin of this mech pack for me.

Should've just stuck to the TRO design this time, Alex.
Fortunately I only have to see the inside of the cockpit while I fight.

Felio, there are clan mechs out there for you, but they use MASC, which would push them to speeds above the threshold allowed by MWO/the game engine. That's my understanding, at least. The Hellbringer is the prize of Wave II.
I think the Ice Ferret will be a niche mech, for those who are both talented and a bit masochistic - the players out there who feel they have to prove that the chassis is viable, so will play it. It is the fastest Clan mech, and those players who are being forced to play in clan mechs because their teams are declaring for the clans in CW will at least have a fast sniper to mess with.
Another major drawback to this mech is the lack of hardpoints, so even with such little tonnage, you can't put on a bunch of small lasers to back up an ERPPC or some such design.

As medium mech pilot, I think I will have fun with this.
YEY! Tomorrow let's start to grind for mastering!

Btw, while I understand them showing how the stock works ( and poor Cattra needing to lose to those builds ) many would more like to see after ( or just ) how it handles with a more optimised... sensible build for the game we play... even if you have to swich the omnipods to do it.
Seeing as all who want to master it will get all 3 anyway, would much more like to see what it can and will do in there hands than that "mock" battle , and perhaps also from the perspective of the other mech.

Something like a 40 ton Ember, with 8 JJs and 8.5 tons of pod space?
Yeah, that'd be nice. With plenty of hardpoints. And more than one torso mounted weapon.

After the unwanted Timberwolf modification you all made I have lost all confidence in buying any mech/package from you again.
Another pay to win moment... until nerfed.
Get your flame throwers out...

Also, a 360 XL engine in a medium? That's crazy! It'll fill a unique role though, that's for sure. No high speed mechs Clan side yet, this'll be like an overgrown light.

Hell, too bad we did not get the arctic cheetah. The clan light mech for light mech pilots..... And no MASC.

IceFerret: Medium
MistLynx: Light
Hellbringer: Heavy
Gargoyle: Assault
Seems like mixed.
And please pray for a module, that giv Arty and Airstrikes only to Light Mechs.

The Fenris has been one of my favorites ever since the old BT CCG. I have to wonder why PGI didn't include the MPL configuration. Still, it's got a great mix of speed, protection, and firepower and fills a role that no current Clan mech can manage (the Ryoken is the closest so far, really).
I'll be picking up some Fenrises on my Clan alt once they are available for cbills, for sure.
