It looks awesome, but the hands are HUGE! I guess that is to make the dual A/C20 arms bigger targets.

Yeah, because 8 inch guns and the ammo to go along with them, plus all the armor and crap is not small....

Congrats IS players.

You wanted a 100 ton dire brick, you now got it in spades.

Model looks fantastic. Great job art team.

I never get tired to say it:
The DW will seem fast and agile to the King Crab.

As if anyone's going to aim for those.

wouldn´t 4x uac5 be better loadout? doubletap is nearly pinpoint, too, but at much better range and if needed much better dps...just asking?

We don't know what the hardpoints yet though, so we don't know if any variants will have multiple ballistic slows or just one per arm.

PGI's normal approach is to give 2-3 hardpoints per AC/20, 1-2 per UAC/5, AC/10 or Gauss.

Then you slap Endo and Ferro on it and upgrade that engine.

6 hardpoints seems a bit low compared to the other hundred ton mechs. 8 would be more in line with the Atlas range.

Bit late and behind but I wanted to comment on this one.

It may have fewer hardpoints than an Atlas, but placement of those hardpoints can be more efficient overall. No Atlas can carry dual AC20's. I have many mechs that I do not use all the HPs on. Don't always need to cram it full of guns. Sometimes, less is more.

If PGI only brushes the TT then that won't help much.
It will pilot like a brick.
A brick with insane firepower of course but non the less a brick.

The walk animation is going to make me sad. I can already tell by the feet.

Walk animations in the game are awful except for a precious few mechs. I just hope it's better than the one they gave the Dire Wolf and Stormcrow.

Those AMS-like things also exist on the Highlander legs. They're just decorations I'm afraid.

I struggle to use torso mounted ballistics, I much prefer them in the arms :)

you do realize, that stock... They both go the same speed right? The Direwolf comes with the 300xl and Crab comes with the standard 300.

this will be one of those mechs that you run Ballistics on as the main weapon and a good set of lasers or missiles as back up, max out the armor and slap in as many HS and as much ammo as you can for the ballistics and you become an immovable anchor point for your team lol.

The pinchening shall arrive in 2 weeks

I wonder how many players will be running a crab. Because it's top tier, I guess the closest we can compare it to is the Mad Dog, which there seemed to be quite a number ran that first week it was out. Hopefully we won't see a billion like the CN9-AH and AS7-S. The queue wait times were agonizing to the point that I didn't run the CN9-AH until last week for the first time, and basically the same with the AS7-S.
