The King Crab has been generating confusion on certain Reddit threads and I want to clear those up.
I currently own the Veteran Founder and Phoenix Overlord pack, am I eligible to get my mightiest of King Crabs? or will I have to buy the Wrath pack?
I'll be blunt I was just planning on buying eighter the Rage pack or the Grasshopper a-la-carte pack as my allowance this month is tight, will however buy the full pack if it guarantees me a Crab.
So how's it gonna be?

The Overlord pack qualifies you. Just need one of the top tier packages.

Yes, any one of the "top tier" packs makes you eligible. Your Veteran Founder does not count, but the Overlord Pheonix pack does.

Packs that qualify for the free King Crab loyalty variant:
Legendary Founder
Overlord Pheonix
Masakari clan 1
Man o War clan 2
top IS resistance pack

Goodie, thank you very much, since the resistance page only talks about the Wrath pack and the two clan packs I got mighty confused when the good folks over at reddit told me that I could get me a Crab for my Phoenix Overlord.

Now that PGI has given us a 100 ton ballistic mech to compete with the Dire wolf, I see this opening the door for more iconic 100 ton monsters like the Pillager, Annihilator, Devastator and Kodiak to name a few

It only mentions them because they are all that are available for sale at the moment.

Kodiak is a clan mech though...its a totem mech for CGB.

Also a Clan non-omni. I dont see PGI opening that can of worms any time soon.

I'm kinda sad the Marauder isn't availible, would love to see the Assassin too...and the Bushwacker...and the Enfield...and the Anubis...Now I wanna play Mech Commander 2 with mods again =(


Also does anyone remember the Bellerophon?Was on Sarna the other day and I had no idea that ever existed.

The Marauder may yet one day be available. After all, if the table top game can have them with a new distinct appearance to avoid legal trouble, I see no reason why MWO can't do the same. The game already has visually distinct 'Mechs.

I'd love to see the Assassin, but the rest seem unlikely, given the time period.

The King Crab was a weird, but interesting, choice to bring up for the game. I'm excited for it.

I think Karl has mentioned at one point that the current setup can support non-omnis.

The Marauder is NOT ever coming the dev's will not risk having to take on HG even if form a legal standpoint its a sure win since HG will just drag it out for years and the cost would be insane and could quite well bankrupt them or cripple them.

As to the OP any top pack will get you the KING of all Crabs just do not get hit in the weakpoint for massive damage!!!

yeah and the Annihilator is also a Clan mech, first introduced my Wolfs Dragoons

There are Omni mechs in the game now that some of the current Clans did not use as well as House mechs that other Houses didn't use. PGI already stated that all mechs would be playable by all factions/clans. So when we get the Kodiak, it will be available to all Clans for sure. Just as the Timber Wolf was a Wolf Clan mech only until after the invasion started and things like small trades and battlefield salvage allowed other Clans to gain them.

You qualify. Bombadil clarified his comments on the reddit thread, and stated that he was mentioning the packs that you could still buy to qualify for Ye Olde Crab.
