MY builds are
2ERLL, 1ERML long range harasser
2srm4 1srm2 3tons ammo, 1ersl and bap light hunter
lrm15 with 3tons, tag, 2ersl and bap for a long range lrm harasser that can quickly reposition
What is everyones ideas for this mech? anyone going to use the pointless ballistic arm?
Gonk Droid with arms is comin for ya!

Also thinking ER LL + 3 LRM5 and UAC2 + 2 ER ML. I like the idea of this as a long range harasser, probably won't mess with close range builds on it.
I would probably do the opposite on the Viper, though.

While I do agree with the engine on legs thing at least it is a unique play style in mwo. It is just like the cent9D with a massive engine but unlike the cent the ice ferret can obviously fit more than 2 streak2s 2ml and 2mg.
I stopped really playing my cent in that way when alpine came out as altho it was fast its massive profile with such short range weapons just failed in big wide open maps but clan tech has so much more range.

Wiggled arms at Locust and fellow Fridge Ferret, ran at meta Dire Whale, tore off arms and then mauled his center torso to tasty bits, fun times to be had all around
also that's a Fabulous Ferret, OP

This build wrecks basically a take off of my more succesful Commando builds.

This build rocks a 40 firepower rating, keep the MLs on chain fire to keep it running cool. Plenty of long and close range punch.

My 3 little ferrets:
Prime:
My long range strike and support variant.
The lack of the extra energy hardpoint is a slight disappointment compared to the other variants, but it works, and still makes bank. Plink away with the PPC, engage closer when allies start engaging. The streak are for pesky lights that think the ferret is an easy target. That streak has already proved it's place more than once for me.
IFC-A:
My energy boat. Perfectly at home far off and close up.
Again The ERLL is good for plinking away till the engagement closes, but the med las are almost just as effective depending on the range for ranged plinking. Closer in the focused alpha of all 4 lasers is enough for surgical destruction. Streaks again for pesky lights, but with 2 extra tubes compared to my prime, making them a bit more punchy against bigger targets.
IFC-C:
The only variant I'm not totally satisfied with yet. Kinda has an identity crisis really.
I didn't want to lose out on the Artemis upgrade is came with out of the box, but that limits my tube options for its missiles. More or less it generally plays as an armor stripper as far off as possibly and if you or the enemy closes the distance the A-SRMs to finish the job explosively. It has the least punch of my loadouts, but the Artemis missiles will hit where I need them.
For the life of me I couldn't make any build that performed reliability with the ballistic arm. The largest ballistic it was capable of stuffing in there anyway was LBX(or UAC) 5. All of my ballistic fits required too much time on target for any worthwhile damage. So I scrapped any ideas with the ballistics entirely. Pure missile builds were also proving to be disastrous failures due to the lack of ammo.

IFR-Prime: 2CERLL + TAG (Show me the money)
IFR-A: 1CLPL + 3 CERML
IFR-C: 3 CER ML + 2CSSRM4 + Artemis + Clan Active Probe
If you're going to boat medium lasers and SRMs, I don't see why you'd want to use the IFR-Prime for that. And as for people equipping LRMs, I find they're far, far too heavy to do any real damage. For me, they're a waste of time. The Adder works better as fast LRM support, in my opinion. It has both more hardpoints and more free tonnage.

Try my First build I posted earlier, to keep the Artemis upgrade and gain some stability in that build.

My favorite build so far is IFC-C with 4 er-ml and srm4// er-ml range module+radar depr.
1)Its speed and maneuverability let me pilot it as I did with shadowcat or strider in MW3: COD maneuver! Great fun!
it's not that easy to hit the ferret when properly piloted.
2) it's a good light hunter.
3) ER-ml with range module, let me hit and cover easily for mid range combat.

As you can see, I prefer to mount dhs over firepower.
You cannot have heat problem doing cod.
edit: I REALLY would like to have my shadowcat. More firepower than the ferret, less engine than the ferret BUT with MASC!..... really really miss it....

Even worse was when I tried a lb2x build, and I tried to play seriously with it but it was terrible.
