I have a mech that has AC/2s and wanted to ty out the cooldown quirk.

It does not seem to exist in the quirk menu, but does in the module menu.

Please advise.

'Mechs with AC2-specific quirks are:
BJ-1 (+7.5% cooldown/-7.5% heat)
DRG-5N (+12.5% cooldown/-12.5% heat)
JM6-A (+7.5% cooldown)
JM6-S (+7.5% cooldown)

They obviously have other quirks (including general ballistic cooldown/heat ones), too.

Don't know what you mean with "quirk menu", there is no such place. You cannot choose quirks, 'mechs just have them.
You can choose weapon modules for cooldown reduction or extended range but you have to unlock and buy them first.

Quirks appear to be another one of those things PGI puts in that doesn't really transfer into the UI. So if you don't know its there, you'll figure it out when you run out of ammo.

If you want to know wich quirks a 'mech has you can hover your mouse over a 'mech in mechlab (in the listing page where you can see all your 'mechs). In the little popup on the right there will be a listing of all quirks.

Ah, didn't realize that. However, it's not in the information on the weapons inside the mechlab.

Neither is range at all from what I saw (there is a diagram, but no outright "270m range" stat listed.
