it should be able to play mwo, i have an i7 920 @ 2.66-2.67 and it plays mwo fine, altho like you pointed out the gpu might be your main worry. you may want to get extra memory like another 4 or 8 gigs so you have a better leeway with game and windows os

I seriously doubt if that GPU can run any modern 3D game well at all...
From what a quick google search tells me, the Quadro series is mostly meant as a cheap dedicated card solution for office PCs. Its main purpose is to run multiple monitors and support 2D design software.
Additionally, the 290 consumes a whopping 21 watt and is passively cooled, that does not bode well for its 3D rendering capabilities.

By the way, the Xeon series is also generally found in office/business PCs. What you have there is more of a small business/home PC.

If you don't mind spending some time reading up on PC assembly and hardware specs, Tom's Hardware is a great site that regularly posts great roundups and reviews. For example, check out this recent article where they build a budget gaming PC for ~ $520 (hardware only). http://www.tomshardw...ng-pc,3854.html

Good luck fellow gamer :)

Edit; forgot the link, doh.

Edit 2: Actually this one is more recent: http://www.tomshardw...ng-pc,3943.html

as others have said that is a business orientated machine and looks like a refurb by the age of the components.

But the cpu is basically the server version of an intel I7 940 so that should be enough for mechwarrior but the graphics card is the quadro version of the nvidia 8400 gs so that will not be up to playing games with.

you could buy it and add a newer low power graphics card like an nvidia 750 ti and it would probably play mechwarrior ok at lower resolutions/settings.

more memory would help also, even another 4gb to take it to 8gb would be great.

Quadro driver is not optimized for gaming. They are often used for CAD purpose, which focus on accuracy of rendering than speed for gaming. You shold choose a gaming card like Geforce or Radeon, unless you intent to use the computer for CAD as well.
