I just thought of something...mechwarrior toys yeah i must be dreaming but i am thinking what if the makers of
this upcoming beauty made toys like the Dragon, hunchback, atlas, jenner, nexus, etc.
The toys could be used for collecting, playing, making stop motions with battle damage and missile launching action just like my axman from the 1994 animated series.
If they were going to make toys they would have to make them out of wood or plastic like the model kits but if they did on the other hand a lot of people would order the battletech toys. But the budget of the makers of this game might have little due to copyright, making this game, etc, but it might not happen but I really hope the toys or models get released.

I just want a 1/72 scale Dragon model kit. nothing fancy, just a scaled up plastic kit of the Mini would be cool.

One word for you: punctuation!

Use it dude! I had to hold my breath through your entire post, not fun! lol!

On another note, I too am looking for actual BattleTech model kits, and can't find any (other than collector's items sold on ebay for hundreds).

Oh yeah. I'll have to post some pics, Ive been building up a model of one out of cardstock. got the legs done, and i'm on the third attempt at getting the front torso shape worked out. the MK1 torso was fine but about 30% to big, the MKII was a disaster. but the current one looks dead on to me. As i said, i'll need too dig out the camera.

(I'm scaling my dragon around a 1/72 scale pilot from the Tie Interceptor kit)

There's just not enough interest to finance something like that.

I mean, they tried making die-cast toys back when Clickytech was released, of the Madcat, Jupiter, and Legionnaire, but those were right during the Mechassault/Clickytech hype.

MWO will be more popular than Battletech - that much is a given due to the nature of the products, themselves - tabletop anything inevitably has lower accessibility and higher stigma attached to it - but I have strong doubts that it will be big enough to support a line of toys.

We'd have to get to Team Fortress 2 levels of popularity, if not more.

I knew that from the start yet i still miss my diecast madcat that got caught up by being stepped on, but really what if we were able to donate to the makers of this game.We could probably convince mektek, mechwarrior online, mechwarrior 2.org and mechwarrior 3.org to work together but that would unlikely happen since they are focusing on other things.

It's worth noting that you can find some resin garage kits for some mechs. elfbait, and Orko_one occasionally produce runs of N scale mechs. typically Dark Age type stuff, or designs from mech 4

Some other guys build up kits more like cannon designs. http://battlemechclub.blogspot.com/ has some examples

If we can get custom paint and custom configs, I would be happy with a figureprints like service.

Models would be great.A modern redesign of an Atlas made by Bandai or Kotobukiya would be a day one buy for me.

Here is something you can do yourself. A 1/40th Scale papercraft Zuess from MW4, along with a few other mechs. Enjoy!!

For papercraft mech goodies - http://www.mechwarri...wforum.php?f=38

And here, I told you I would find pics of my WiP Dragon build...

Study model, where I tried to work out the shapes...

build up of the legs...
Posted Image

2nd attempt at the torso.
Posted Image

The new torso (nose) plus the legs... Still got to build up the back, shoulders, and head. the feet are a skeleton, i'll build the correct feet around them.
Posted Image

side view of new torso front end... I think i nailed the scale and shape on this one.
Posted Image

mini for comparison (yeah it's the crappy plastic one...)
