Which Is Right - Patch Notes Or In Game Display?

Clan ER Small Pulse Laser:
- Range increased from 150 to 200
- Max range increased from 300 to 400
- Damage increased from 4.4 to 6.0
- Heat decreased from 3.4 to 3.0
So why is my game displaying small pulse laser as 165 metres then?
- Range increased from 150 to 200
- Max range increased from 300 to 400
- Damage increased from 4.4 to 6.0

So why is my game displaying small pulse laser as 165 metres then?

The ingame display is correct.

The 150 => 200 range increase was only intended for the C-ER SMALL LASER. The pulse laser has a shorter range, as a drawback to counter the increased DPS, shorter beam duration, and improved heat efficiency.

You incorrectly copied the stat changes from the patch notes:
- Clan ER Small Laser:
- Range increased from 150 to 200
- Max range increased from 300 to 400
- Damage increased from 4.0. to 5.0
- Clan ER Small Pulse Laser:
- Range increased from 150 to 165
- Max range increased from 300 to 330
- Damage increased from 4.4 to 6.0
- Heat decreased from 3.4 to 3.0

The error was PGI's. When the patch notes were first posted, they displayed 200 for both cSL and cSPL. I double-checked before making my bug report thread in the appropriate forum.

Wait, hold the phone, stop the presses... the ER Small Pulse Laser is not produced until 3057, insert time warp...

Actually i didn't make any mistake, PGI did, i copied the stuff from the patch notes linked via the forums when you search using the keyword patch notes and same link as the one when u click patch notes from the game interface.
All i'd like is the correct information to make informed decisions on building my mechs.

Right, given that the Mechs data is drawn from the code in the game, and not the Patch notes posted on these Forums, I would base all BUILD decisions on the in-game data extracted from the code files.
P.S. It is refreshing though to have found such a large group who all think their **** doesn't stink and wish to make sure everyone else knows it. Just wow
