Hey, can this lass is great at letting us know when our Ammo is low, or that a heat sink is destroyed, or that we lost a torso. But can we PLEASE, get her to tell us when an arty or airstrike has been laid out so we are not continuously pressing our button with nothing happening? Its not like the icon is that easy to see.

Thoughts

"Airstrike/Artillery Strike Activated" already does play when you fire one.

I'm talking about when someone else fires one

Or how about when one is dropped on you

"Warning, incoming artillery/airstrike"

I think the smoke is more than enough, has to be something in the game to temper your senses.

Yeah I have no problem with the no warning when one is dropped on me. Just talking about when your team mates drop one. That way you do not get caught with an Awwwww crap moment

Isn't there talk of decals being included in game? Having a "Bitchin' Betty" decal for the side of the mech, in the same fashion as the girls painted on the sides of WWII planes would be very cool.

Sorry for the derail OP... as you were :)

to OP, excellent idea. Or have an icon that pops up. A teammate made a revelatory statement yesterday: how can out teammates see we are narc'd and we can't?

Especially in a light mech I personally can not look at the icons as I am colorblind and moving at a 150 KPH. Can not tell you how many times I have tried to lay one only to have a teammate beat me to it and I had no clue.

Somehow you always know when you're NARCed =D
As for the Arty, the smoke is a big sign already, everyone gets out before it strikes. It's also not hard to predict when you can get one.

*Narc Detected* should be part of Betty's vocabulary.

Being bombarded by Lurms isn't quite as good as a *narc detected* warning. but i lol'd at your comment all the same...

and yeah, im going to drop the old classic arguement to "well just get out of the smoke", you don't know there is smoke if its behind you. if you're on VOIP, people yell "smoke", so i'd like a vague "artillery/airstrike inbound" if it drops ANYWHERE on the map...so even if you're nowhere near you stop and look around.

Well , in all honesty you are not suppose to know that an Arty stirke is incoming.... Smoke is enough... I just want to know when a teammate uses it.
