Back in early August I wanted to get some more Blackjacks to fill out my stable. Then the faction sales happened, and, I decided that I needed some Ravens and an Atlas instead of Blackjacks. So Then the Loyalty Atlas and Centurion were announced, so I decided that I needed to get two Centurions and another Atlas, even though I only had one Raven. But then the Vindicators dropped and wanted to try them, so I got all three C-Bill variants. Then I finally got the Centurions after the Vindicators, but by the time I had grinded up money for Blackjacks the Shadowhawk/Stormcrow sale happened, so I got a fourth Shadowhawk and two Stormcrows. Then the medium queue clogged up, and I decided that I needed some more light mechs, and Commandos would go great with a Steiner drop deck for CW. Last weekend, I get two Heroes, The Death's Kneel and a Huginn, and then two other Commandos. Then I figure that a Griffin would fit well in a Steiner CW drop deck (Commando, Griffin, Zeus, Zeus), so I go onto smurfy and craft some builds that seem like they'd work well with the impending quirk pass. Then a day before the quirk pass I saw a Highlander kicking ass, and I thought to myself "When was the last time I've seen a Highlander? You know, that would actually fit quite well in my drop decks, 50/50/50/90", so I go onto smurfy and whip up a bunch of those as well.

Fast forward to now, I've got just under ten million C-Bills tucked away, and I've got a need for two Blackjacks, a third Raven, a third Atlas, a third Stormcrow (and I don't even really like them) and I'm salivating over Griffins and Highlanders while my Commandos need DHS and XL engine upgrades. I guess I can't help myself from going to the next shiny thing before finishing with my current one. Anybody else ever experience this sort of ADD?

All the time.

Or I get so hyperfocused on one chassis that another I just bought sits unbasic'ed for months.

Dunno whether you are talking about focusing on the Locust or ignoring it.
I just came outa focusing on mine though :P
Pre-tweak sadly, but the ER tweak does little for me, so little loss there

I don't run them at all. I generally suck in light mechs, and my low-end computer doesn't help, so they're all unbasic'd and collecting dust. I don't deny that they're good, but I just can't play them.

On this account all my mechs are basic skilled no modules 11 mechs all different and for general play there ok. When I get on my brothers account with all elieted mechs and equipped modules I can get 2-6 kills a battle 4-10 assists etc. One battle I annihilated 8 players and they gave me the honor of calling me a hacker hahhaaha.

It just goes to show PGI has no idea how to balance there game when they match elite/module mechs with regular basic skilled no module mechs in gameplay.

You're talking about a drop-deck, but unless there's an announcement I've missed I believe that for CW drops you are required to bring 1 mech of each weight category and you need to confirm to a tonnage limit (240 iirc). :(

in one of Pauls CW update command chair posts he said PGI had decided to do away with the one of each weight class requirement and were now planning to require you to take 4 Mechs within a set weight range (probabaly 140-240 tonnes) this would mean Light and Medium pilots would be able to take prety much whatever they want, but you would not be able to take 4 heavys (unless they are all 60 tonners)and you would be limited to 2 Assualts.

Battlemech ADD strikes again! This time, while answering a question about the upcoming Resistance Pack, I realize I'll have to plan out a Davion drop deck. In doing so I mock up the following four chassis:

-Blackjack
-Centurion/Enforcer
-Jagermech
-Victor

All very Davion-centric mechs. One major problem - I don't own any Jagermechs or Victors. I've project it to cost about 60 million C-Bills to outfit three of each chassis to optimal specifications. Dammit XD

Wow, I completely read over that part, thinking it was just a rehash of the previously mentioned game mechanic. Though I've got Mastered mechs in all weight categories I'm more of a Light mech player, so this actually makes me very happy! :)

Thanks for the link!
