I can't seem to find this information anywhere.

With the new Quirk pass, the armor given to all of the Hunchbacks, is that additional armor on the front or the back? Is it split 50/50? Where is it, how to I tell.

Thanks.

You have the ability to allocate the front and rear armor yourself. The armor buff just increases the overall armor for that section. You determine how much goes where.

In the mechlab, there are two armor values for each section. The top one is the front.

Wait, does it come pre-allocated?

Sorry this is not what I mean,

The additional Armor from the Quirks, you can not add or subtract it. The total armor value on a HBK-4SP ST is 48. It's always been 48, most likely will always be 48. However the "free" 9 points given by the Quirks, do not take up any weight. So how is this armor divided. is it 9pts front? 5front/4rear? Dynamic Armor that is invisible and is used like internal structure, e.g All normal armor is gone. dmg goes for internal structure but instead hits this invisible 9 armor?

I will note that it is not the same amount of armor for every Hunchback, the 4SP has +9 but the 4G has a whopping +18 armor(and +12 more structure)

It never occurred to be to question how exactly that bonus armor was allocated, I would hope it's all front armor but it really should specify exactly where that armor is located.

It would be pretty simple to test it in a private match vs a mech with an AC2 (with a slight margin of error of +1/-1)

I didn't realize that it was an pre-allocated value. Lame. Still nice...but lame.

This would be my hope and expectation (so there's no overt deviation from the TT figures, doubles as they are). Quirks are hidden attributes after all.

What do you mean? Thats way better than having to pay tonnage to equip it.

Yes but they also could have added it in and let you distribute the extra 18 points at no extra tonnage.

Unless you are running more than 18pts of armor on the rear, they have let you distribute it where you want it.

However, would be very nice to actually see it in the Mech Lab
