Makes me think about how much of the map's real estate is wasted in 99% of matches; The two spawn areas are generally only used to spawn and then evacuate as quickly as possible to move into the central area of the map.

Base attacks generally only happen as a last resort(such as when capping is faster than chasing one last surviving spider), probably because 1) the spawn areas are cut off by large structural elements and 2) the two teams have funnelled themselves into the central area and are guaranteed to meet in direct combat.

Rarely I have had matches where one team will actually stay and defend the spawn area, and the opposing force always declares this to be a cheap, underhanded tactic, even though the area is quite large and has two openings (plus lights can actually approach via the tops of the walls), and defending what is actually a full 1/3rd of the map on any other map would be seen as a viable defensive strat and not some sort of trick.

Great job Spike Brave! All the times I've been on that map, I've never noticed the color coded areas. I'm going to have to go back in the training ground and look more closely ;)
