3051 - Laser heat sinks for Clan, Silver bullet Gauss rifle (LB-X gauss rifle)
3054 - Laser Anti-missile systems, ER-missile systems for IS, Streak LRM-15, 20s for Clans,
3055 - Fletchette ammo for IS auto cannons.
3056 - Light Gauss rifles

Lets see how PGI handles this stuff.

I fixed the title. Thank you

We pretty much have streak lrms now. Laser heat sinks and SB Guass, lorewise, kinda blow. Flechette is for soft targets or infantry so why would we need it?

They could make it be a higher crit chance than normal LB-Xs but suffer from less damage when firing them at armor.
Even if they suck I don't see why PGI wouldn't add them.

1. I wouldn't be surprised if we never see any of those new weapons systems. The timeline will be stuck at 3049 for a LONG time.
2. Some of those seem easy to implement. Laser AMS, longer range missiles, and larger streak launchers. But they probably won't be added as they are straight upgrades to existing weapons.

The "future technology" that I want within the next timeline decade is the Nova Cat.

70 ton mech with 38 tons of pod space? **** yeah.

Good hardpoint choices, too.

I think PGI is gonna have to bite the bullet and figure out a way to put this stuff in. The ER LRMs could just replace the regular missiles. like just change the weapon code to give the LRMs more range, and change their name in game to ER-LRM. easy to do and it fits since there is no reason to use regular LRMs compared to ER LRMs.

Heavy lasers would be interesting.

The HML is 1 ton, 2 crits, 10 damage for 7 heat, and has the same 270M range as the isML.

Burn time increase seems like the logical option.

Yes, but that one is too good. We need the even worse IS version!

You folks are probably thinking about the Black Hawk KU.

Aside from having 5 tons of hardwired JJs, it wouldn't be terribad. Imagine if they inflate the 12 hardpoints!

17 tons of pod space with 14 hardwired DHS, maxed armour and a hardwired isXL300 on a 60 tonner. Moving 90 isn't terribad.

It wouldn't be the worst IS omni, by far.

That award probably belongs to the Owens and Strider, being hardlocked with SHS. Nothing in the world could save them, short of massive heat efficiency quirks.

With other IS Omnis, heavies and assaults with XL might not end well in some cases, such as the Avatar (just look at dat art and how big those sides are, pretty much the IS version of the Mad Dog...).

Some IS Omnis also stupidly have hardwired CASE with XL engines, like the Avatar, Strider, and Hauptmann.

EDIT: Hauptmann actually uses a STD engine, but hardwired CASE is still useless anyways.

No, it wouldn't be the worst. Any pilot worth his salt could make it work. It's just that we're combining a 'Mech already known for having Awesome-proportioned side torsos and running hot with an Inner Sphere XL, heavier/bigger Inner Sphere guns, shorter Inner Sphere engagement range, and worse Inner Sphere heat dissipation.

Thus, the worse version of the two geometrically identical 'Mechs.

Since it (Black Hawk) was listed in stuff that shows up later in the timeline, you can infer the poster of said list meant the Black Hawk KU.

Gotta read between the lines, man.
