Bought a mech mastery bundle. 30 days premium time included, but didnt activate it as wanted to get used to playing again first.
Two days later I am down two days of premium time...even though I havent activated yet...is that a bug? Or WAI?
Why is it counting down if I am not getting the bonuses?

Only pre-order packages have banked Premium Time. This has been mentioned many times in previous posts. If you get premium time through packages, purchases, events or promotion codes (as long as it's not a pre-order pack) then it activates immediately.
You should be getting the bonuses. Scroll down the left panel at the end of the match. You will see Premium Time rewards at the bottom. If you do not have Premium Time you'll see a screen showing how much you would have earned if you have Premium Time activated.
