Hi,

I just saw a post saying that MWO will get VoIP and that got me thinking about the settings I would like to have for that:

I would like to have separate options for pug, private and cw matches.

The reason for this is that in a pug I might don't want to speak to anyone nor listen to anyone (because sadly there are a lot off trolls in pugs). However in a private or cw match I might want to use VoIP. Having to change settings every time I'll switch the game mode would be really annoying, I also don't want to mute everyone in a pug in every match.

Yes, but really:

Have VOIP muted globally by default, with a hotkey to turn it on. Easy, can be done painlessly in match.

I don't like the idea of VOIP because I hate hearing someone ******** about another team member because they are not as good as everyone else or because of some other thing.

as long as it is is possible to be permanently muted for everything(team as well) then you guys can have anything you want.

well this topic was not about having VoIP - its about the settings in case we get it.

If you notice I did say turning it off Permanently as an option than go for it.

I was just explaining why I would like that as an option. I though it was only fair to explain myself
I do apologize for any confusion or how it sounded as I didn't mean it to sound like I was saying it shouldn't be implemented.

well ... since VoIP was introduced today and the options on turning it on and off are very limited I would like to bring up this topic again.

1. as of now we can only turn off VoIP completly
2. thre is no option to mute certain players permanantly - which means that we have to mute trolls again and again

Yeah I agree, I am tired of some people(This is just a real life example and that's it) moaning on and on about someone hanging back to fire from afar and telling those of us hanging back to stop playing with our butts or something along that line is annoying or others just spamming one's mic.

I was trying to hear someone else's 'orders' because they had gotten a good eye on the enemy but couldn't hear them because of it.
