Whenever I try to login, The game will crash to desktop while loading. I have never managed to get to the real gameplay. Any idea what could be the problem?

Greetings,

First off, what operating system are you using?
- Are you running the game as an Admin?
- Do you have the Dx9c codex installed?
Do you have C++ and Net Frameware updated?

Some more information is required before a solution can be addressed.

im having the same issue, iv tried admin and every thing I could think of. I have an old laptop that used window 7 and ran the game but didn't have enough power to play it. now I have a laptop that can but now it wont run the game,. if its a hard wear issue that's a shame. because I like MechWarrior, iv played 2, 3, and 4 bundle pack clear through. but I tried playing them on this new computer and they seem to not run on windows 8.1 or the hard wear or graphics driver. not sure.

Greetings all,

The latest version of win8 or 8.1 does not install any of the older Dx9c items, and they are required to get MWO started.

If you can install them from the Ms site great, if not there may be a work around.
- If you download the Beta Test server version, it has a copy of all the Dx9c items within the folder Directx in the games directory.

Also update your flash and shockwave players, there may be some codex required there.
