I love how that, even as a Founder I can't find up to date information on Artemis or any other upgrades. There's no in game information on the Upgrades and there is no game manual on the website here. (Or I just can't find it anymore) How does MWO expect to attract and retain new and returning players.>

Anyway my issue is - Does Artemis increase missile damage.> Or does it only decrease the missile spread.>
I am working on my Jenner Oxide and I notice it feels very week running 3 SRM4s without Artemis. On the other hand this mech is not leveled up, so I'm not sure if that effects damage\missile spread.

And yes my question mark key is broken.

Decreases missile spread. It also speeds up missile lock, but this won't be ofay use to SRM's as you don't need lock for those.

(Don't need lock, but SRMs are supposed to have the option to lock and home).

Sadly as mentioned Artemis only tightens up the missile pattern when it comes to SRMs. That's pretty much it.

(I missed the closed beta SRMs. They swerved outward and curved back in with some pretty tight convergence especially with Artemis, giving the illusion that they were guided in some way. Actually I miss all old missile flight patterns.)

Much more useful on LRMs. On a plus side, due to reusing the same lock mechanic, Artemis unintentionally gives a lock on speed increase to Streaks.

You're right it's not listed anywhere. I asked for a list from support and when I got it, I made this. Hope it helps.

Check your keyboard layout setting, it's probably set to the wrong layout.

With SRM it tightens the grouping of the missiles a little.

With LRM it increases the tracking capability.

I usually refer to www.sarna.net for some information but according to that site, artemis equipped missiles benefit more when you're able to visually see the target in the field instead of just relying on your radar.

It's hard to make a manual when everything could change in the next patch. The only thing worse than no manual is a heavily outdated manual.

PGI doesn't work quite that fast, if you're committed you have plenty of time to keep it updated. See Spike Brave's tutorials for example, they're all still up to date and he's been cranking them out for a while now.
It's not like there aren't dozens of friendly players here who would pitch in if you ask them either, so it's basically just an excuse not to do anything.

Thanks guys, I know our community is amazing. I was just surprised to not find newbie manual on the forums here. Plus I thought it was weird that there was no information in game, as there is so much info on the weapons and equipment. Anyway, thanks

Oh and my Oxide with 3 SRM4 without Artemis is a lot of fun.

I thought this had been fixed in a previous patch, and that now streaks only get the bonus if you ALSO have at least 1 LRM launcher.

This might help:

I cover other topics linked to from here. They aren't 'official' but I try to keep them up to date.
