However lately (I have no specific start date for reference as I was not paying close enough attention to dates) I have noticed more and more my own warhorn not sounding off when I get a kill (which has become a less common thing lately as I have been playing more for fun than for kills, resulting in the use of less competitive builds that, coupled with my questionable strategy, results in fewer kills) and I am curious as to why. Perhaps there is a coding error that has arisen?
Regardless, it seems inappropriate to have something, that some of us specifically paid for, not doing anything when it should be doing something (in this case, warhorns should emit noise upon a successful killing blow).
I therefore recommend an investigation into probable causes. Perhaps the issue is client-side, perhaps server-side, perhaps neither or both. Logic suggests that all possibilities must be ruled out before the conclusion can be drawn.
Whatever possibility remains, however improbable, must be the cause, and must be corrected.

Ill run my heavy metal tonight and see if I can wrack up a kill that does not coincide with a shut down(as it would make sense to not sound off at that time{though how cool would it be to sound like it had the plug pulled out mid celebration?}).

They will usually not play when you've gone immediately into an overheat shutdown. The explanation for this is that the warhorn draws power from the 'Mech. In the event of a shutdown, the warhorn is inoperable.
They will also usually not fire if another warhorn is currently active, and there are some quirks to note here regarding range overlap: there may be situations where a warhorn is playing outside your range, yet still prevents yours from playing in the event that a third player would be in range of both simultaneously.
Basically, imagine a Venn diagram with three circles, where circle 2 is overlapping circles 1 and 3, but 1 and 3 are not overlapping each other.
If circle 1 fires a warhorn, which is only in range of circle 2, circle 3 (who is also in range of circle 2) will not fire their warhorn. This is to prevent circle 2 from hearing two simultaneous warhorns.
Your own warhorn will usually not play more than once if they are in quick succession.
Warhorns do not sound off in Testing Grounds.

I will continue to research my kills in game, I wont rule out having scored my kills near the time of others kills as I was not at that time looking for this activity.
Also thank you for chiming in.

I only have the power to delete the thread. But thank you for dropping back in, I was quite perplexed. The moderators have the power of delete but I would not bother self reporting unless you really needed it removed (they keep kind of busy).

Meh, next time I want to delete my message I'll add ''deleted'' or ''omit'' or something like that to avoid confusion.

Why is that? I would not mind hearing 2 at the same time, it would mean YEAH, take that! :-) Would that be a problem? What problem if 2 plays at the same time? It must no happen enough anyway so I see no reason to that.
