Just a suggestion for the new power-draw system (or whatever it ends up being called) - aimed largely at a situation where heading toward limits isn't a binary system (ie your mech is either on or off).
It might be interesting if mechs hitting their power and heat limits had some visual indicators.
Perhaps a heat shimmer around the engine, sparks on weapon mounts...
Nothing super obvious but hints for observant players to pick up on.
In doing so, mechs that run 'cold' might have a lesser profile in thermal view (providing at least some incentive / reward for doing so).
Perhaps while running toward heat limits, a mechs heat profile in thermal view should also be slightly more noticeable but less distinct - easier to spot but more difficult to identify.
Perhaps while hitting power limits mechs should be easier to spot with radar - though I'm thinking here that this should really go toward the 'information warfare' aspect of the game, it probably won't matter much in the current state.
As hitting power limits will probably only happen briefly I expect we might see tiny dots flash up on the minimap (perhaps only if we're running a specialist mod or more effectively with it), but again this might be enough to tip off observant players and provide incentive to be mindful of running a mech at its limits where we're trying to be sneaky.
- Just thoughts, not trying to re-write the game or crush anyone's dreams.

That would be cool...but imagine if our mechs got sluggish during high heat as in the lore.
Slower max speed/acceleration. Slower torso/arm yaw/pitch speed. Less precision. All that happens when the mech is close to overheating.
And it even happens to a smaller degree at lower heatlevels. That would be incredible.
Less pure energy boats or at least they wouldn't be able to fire alphas constantly. Maybe a recoil system to keep ballistics under control.
Then MWO would be a thinking players game like the developers wanted.

It is not interesting 'cause of 1.4 DHS efficiency. Visual effects already exists by the way.

It would be nice if the whole screen just started turn slightly red to go along with the high heat noises.
