Any "special mechs" cannot be sold. It is what it is.
I can understand wanting to reclaim the mechbay, but PGI is probably never going to allow for it... because they've only promised that those mechs come with their own special mechbay... which happens to be locked to it.

Probably because they have unique geometry and they're not going to deal with people selling it and then wanting it back because of the unique geometry.

Honestly, OP and everyone else who wants to sell their special mechs... if you don't like them, strip/sell the gear they come with and then forget about them. It's not like you have to use them.
