I have zoom in bound to mouse wheel up and zoom out to mouse wheel down, and it is buggy in game. In training grounds it is perfect, but in a real game it is not precise. A swipe up or down will make the zoom go in out in with random results. If I am very slow and deliberate with a slow single tick of the mousewheel, it will work good. But in the heat of battle it is hard to wheel into the desired zoom level quickly.
Can anyone advise how to get more precise zoom control with the mouse wheel? I saw some talk about needing to set up mouse wheel macros to throttle the movement with a delay to get it working precisely, but now that I am serious about fixing this, I'm having a tough time refinding the page that referenced this. If someone confirms this should fix my problem, I'll put more time into researching this solution.
Thanks in advance

I have the same problem and it's annoying... but I haven't ever taken the time to try and find a solution to it. Maybe just adjusting scroll wheel speed in your normal mouse settings. I could be totally wrong tho... and I've never tried it... Hopefully someone pops in here and has a resolution.

I just use Mouse button 3 for zoom (mouse wheel push button) and just cycle through zoom levels. It only takes a fraction of a second to switch around to any zoom level you want, and is much more accurate and you don't have to deal with fiddling around with the wheel trying to get the exact level you want.

Greetings all,
Check the default settings for the mouse, see if it's coded for more than 3 or 6 lines of movement when it's rolled.
- This may be an attempt to 'overdo' the single zoom change.
Also there are about 5 key settings for the zoom movement, check if going up one step is where you want it at.
- There's a 'max' zoom key and if the advanced zoom is installed it opens that right away.
Just some idea's, and yes, it's a little too sensitive.
(I have my 3rd weapons group linked to the wheel click, so it's sometimes zooming when I press it.)
